Finally! BLNR is in the house
Got the text message from my AD at 5:30pm on Friday that he had just received a blue/black bezel GMT and if I was interested... it took me a minute to realize what he was offering... I was not expecting a BLNR that soon from this AD.
I have been reminding my AD for the last 4 months that I was really interest in buying the BLNR. The answer has always been the same - many folks on the list and they will try. In the meantime, in November last year, I bought a DJ41 from them and it was my 3rd Rolex from them. So, 5:32pm I reply back that yes, I am interested. The AD responds saying there are many folks wanting the BLNR and offered the rootbeer instead. I thought about it for a second and decided that I do want the BLNR first and can wait for the rootbeer. At this point, I know time is of the essence and any delay could result in loosing the BLNR. In my desperation, I responded saying, “please” I want the BLNR and to secure it for me. I can’t recall when I had to say “please” for someone to take $9k from me. That too for a watch. I drop everything I was doing and just eight minutes prior to their closing time on Friday, I am in their store buying the BLNR. Rolex has done very well for a person to say "please" to take his $9K and to drop everything in order to rush down to pick up a watch.

Well, congratulations on that beauty! Nice your AD is true to his word. Must have been a thrill to get than call! I know that I would drop everything as well. It will be interesting to see it on a Jubilee as well. Somehow I feel it well suit the BLNR well.
