The 5070. What metal to buy?

OK Gentlemen let me give some context to the question.

I'd like two answers from you all if you will: :)

Part 1: Which metal is the most beautiful?

- Ignore price considerations please. That's not the point.
- Think only about the beauty of the dial and the case - which metal accentuates/loses this the most?
- Which metal does the "configuration" of the watch the most justice?
- In which metal do you think they put the most work/effort into the dial?

Part 2: Which can be worn best casually with a polo shirt?

However, please consider that I'm dark skinned and can pull off yellow gold without it looking too formal.
AND - you have the option to change strap colour to whatever you want too.

Please help!

Regards

MB

Best combo for the 5070 is the platinum version, IMO. Quite beautiful with blue dial and platinum case.

5070p might be my favorite watch, so that would be my choice. And, though I'm usually not a fan of yellow gold, the 5070j would be my second choice. Something about Yellow gold and black dial just really works on this one. In reality, I'd happily own any variation of the 5070

So let me begin by saying that all of the 5070s are beautiful (including the salmon dial London editions! rolf...).

Picking one of the 4 traditional variants is a very personal decision, but for me there was no question that the white gold and white dial was the way to go and the most versatile by far. Yes, the 5070P is the more limited of the 4, but the blue dial and white seconds hand is an acquired taste. I personally find the white seconds hand much better suited on the black dialed 5970P.

The 5070G is aging nicely with patina developing on the applied markers and hands.

Good luck.

Ignoring price, the 5070P. Considering all aspects, I chose this one.

all dials are the same so there eis no difference between the 4 options
The 5070P is gorgeous but the 3 in gold are great too

For the price of the P you can get 2 pieces in gold, imo worth considering it

Concerning the gold, I prefer the R because the silver grey dial matches perfect
But yellow and white are superb too

To conclude ... there is no wrong choice. A 5070 is an icon no matter which one you take
