Incoming advice please

Hey guys
Finally got my birthyear Rolex. A 6426 with a serial that starts with a 2.
Here it is on a leather strap as the non rivet Oyster bracelet that it came with is a 62323H.18 with a date code of D12 with 455 end links. You may be thinking how does one shoe horn a 20 millimeter bracelet into a 19 millimeter lug width.. Well luckily instead of shaving the lugs, they literally took a half a millimeter off of each side of each last bracelet link so it does not hit.. (wow)
Runs strong, accurate and winds smooth.

Should I keep it on leather, source the proper rivet bracelet, or just wear it with the shoe horned bracelet. Is shoe horning these bracelets into these old 6426's something that is done a lot?

Btw I much prefer it in the wrong Oyster bracelet it came with but is killing me the way it was done. The bracelet is actually in great condition with almost no slop.

Thanks for your input!

Congratulations on your birth year Rolex...

However, regarding the bracelet, would like to see more pictures before making a determination that it may not be legit. Your reference number does not sound good...

Thanks! Regarding the bracelet, it would be great if it was fake....Then I would not feel as bad that someone sanded on it. Plus I would relish taking a hammer to it then sourcing a period correct one. End links look good, or are they garbage also?
Thanks again..

Its great news! Solved the dilemma I had in the original post.. Thanks a lot for your insight.
Now to get rid of the pics of the fakeroo bracelet. Just did some shopping and a period correct bracelet will be more than what i paid for the watch. Looks like I'm rolling leather on this one..
