I would stick with the BLNR just based on wrist size and daily wear.

No brainer for me, with such wrists is the SD43 the watch for you.

I own both the BLNR and the SD43 and find the comparison very apples to oranges. Both are great watches and it is just a matter of deciding what you want. I find the Jubilee bracelet the most comfortable and stylish in the Rolex line-up right now. I would not have said that a while back but for right now, that is where I am. The SD43 with the dial and the red text is the perfect Rolex Diver for me. I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist and it fits great and wears even better. If the choice is not clear then there is no choice, stay with what you have. Research, try models on and when the time is right you will know.

I personally find the SD43 to be more striking, more satisfying. I prefer it to any GMT in fact. I'm biased as divers are my favourite genre. GMTs are ok but I find them gimmicky as I have no use for a second or third time zone when I travel. Setting the watch to local time and mentally adding/subtracting hours if needed is good enough. Granted I don’t need a diver either, but I still choose the SD43 purely based on looks, the badass yet very wearable diver.

The "problem" with the SD43 is that it dwarfs any watch "except the DSSD" when it comes to wrist presence and proportions. I do love bi-color gmt bezels but I can't stand the proportions of the ceramic generation "Maxi case" this is why I passed on a blro for a Tudor gmt.

There's room for both! Both have their unique charm.

Also, it's not really how thick your wrist is for a SD43. I mean, it helps, but the flatter the better for a comfortable wearing experience.

I’d stick with the BLNR due to your wrist size. Now if you can do both, then go that route.

SD43.
Here’s a picture of 40 mm case versus 43 mm case. On my wrist (7.25)I don’t really notice much of a difference.

Close-ups are deceiving.

Agree. SD43 is a big step:
- Bigger
- Heavier
- More 'presence'

I'd definitely try to find a way to preview it somehow if you're uncertain, find an AD or a store that sells used Rolex. BLNR is very difficult to obtain for most of us.

BLNR, but hey, it's your $$$, wrist. Like others above, SD43 is bigger n taller watch.

While you may not have the wrist diameter for the SD43, you have the forearm for it, so it would work. While I don’t have the SD43, I have the prior SD4k 116600 and a BLNR.

Both Sea Dwellers are heavier and thicker than the BLNR although the SD43 has a wider bracelet and the thickness and weight can be uncomfortable. To some it isn’t and I guess uncomfortable is a strong word, so less comfortable is more accurate.

As others have said, try to add the SD43 if you can. I’m not sure where you are in watch collecting but if you’ve had the BLNR for awhile and have fond memories with it, you will regret selling it.

This forum is full of comments about regretting selling a watch for something else. So if you add the SD43 and love it, keep both. And if you find that you don’t wear one much, the sell it. Let us know what you decide.

Love the SD43 but wears heavy and borderline big on my 7.50” flat wrist. With your wrist size I’d take a Sub 126 instead. Lugs should never extend past your wrist, GMT looks good.

Judging from your picture the 40mm seems to be the right case size for your wrist.

Both beautiful watches, I have similar sized wrist to you and I think the SD43 sits well on it (though I’m sure many here would disagree). Chose the one you like best, I don’t think you can go wrong
