Anyone ever been to Anguilla?

We have a week booked on Anguilla and it will be our first time on the island. Anyone ever been? Where did you stay? We have our stay split between 2 hotels (Zemi Beach House and The Reef by CuisinArt) and and I need to decide if I want to keep it that way or alter anything soon.

Went last year, stayed at the Four Seasons which was amazing. Great island and will more than likely be heading back soon

I assume you just relaxed and enjoyed the weather there...or maybe played some golf. Did you fly into St. Maarten and take the ferry over or fly directly to Anguilla?

I was there on my honeymoon back in 1995 before it was a tourist spot, so I’m sure a lot has changed.

We stayed at the Pineapple Beach Club (individual bungalows on the beach). The beach was 3 miles long, powder white sand and absolutely perfect. Honestly the best beach I’ve ever been on.

When we were there, there were only 6 other couples at the entire resort ... mind you it was small with not much else back then. We stayed a week there and a week in St Martin.

I believe it was destroyed by a hurricane and they’ve rebuilt, it may be called the Anguilla Great House. At the time Madonna owned a house just up the beach.

The island was a short ferry ride from St Martin.

We were there in mid June and stayed at Four Seasons and Belmond Cap Juluca. We enjoyed splitting our stay. Have a great trip!

Loved it !!!
Flew in and out of St Martin
Took a private launch to Anguilla
Ferry available too.
Was last there in 2016.

This is the Viceroy which I believe is now the Four Seasons
Some of our group were at the hotel and some of us stayed at a villa.
We split our time enjoying both places.

Can’t wait to return

It’s not the island it once was. We’ve not returned. I too was there in 1996 and am friends with someone whom moved there in 1991. He’s still there but vacations in Saba (no beaches). We stayed at frangipani beach club. I’m unsure that’s still even there. Our reason for not returning is the over development . Chuck Norris had 10 acres there years ago... my friend was a co worker that bought a house in the middle of the island because he was scared of hurricanes. He claims to this day cap jaluca is the nicest resort.

Spent the day there when I was in St. Martin for my honeymoon. We hung out at the beach most of the time. It seemed like a nice (quiet) place to visit.

We flew into St Maarten and then roughly a 45 min ferry ride to Anguilla

On our list, just too lazy to take the time needed to get there
