Yeah, Shenzhen not exactly known for their QC efforts.

Really enjoying the “Rolex” version of Comic Sans on the dial.

I am so speechless with the poor QC, I have never seen this 'low grade' error on the other bands, even to a seiko watch...btw, this OP is my wife's wedding gift, may be this is someone who said that the true beauty lies in the cracks of imperfection? finally I decided just keeping it, thx all of u providing me suggestions.

I agree...it's a very bad call. If this is an authentic Rolex, then it is absolutely unacceptable.

There seems to be other discrepancies on this watch that would question it's authenticity to me.

An authentic Rolex would never have this "error' on the watch. Just my opinion only.

Hard to believe that this was not noticed at the AD with all the bright lights etc., should have been easy to spot...

I'd definitely reject it why should you pay the same as the next punter that might get a good one.
That would spoil the whole experience for me if your paying the same then don't take second best.

I would keep and try to get documentation from Rolex that they acknowledge the error to the dial.

Suckers will be born every minute thinking it will be worth money in the future. I’m sure Rolex will think the same knowing any bad rejects still can be sold. I wouldn’t except that dial. It’s not an error but poor quality control. I would exchange it now. Otherwise, you might regret it when it’s too late.

People saying “iTs gONnA be vALuble” are ridiculous. Rolex has turned into beanie babies.

Get the dial replaced, there is no value in a unique Rolex dial.

The "RSC ASAP/immediately" posts always make me laugh. What's going to happen if it's not done immediately? Another letter is going to get messed up? The 5 year warranty on a brand new model is gonna expire? The dial is going to run away? Endless possibilities.

Anyway, these new OPs are really getting my attention. On some threads I really want the turquoise, others yellow or green. It would be a difficult decision if I had the opportunity to choose one.

If I buy something that turns out to have a defect from the factory then I return it or get it fixed. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Rolex or a lawn mower. I see no point in waiting.

I'm SuPRISED by the amount of members that would keep it. No quality control, no problem. Seriously?

The watch has a 5 year warranty on manufacturer defects, Rolex already agreed it’s a manufacture defect.

He has 5 years to see if the market for the elusive “small u” OPs explodes or he just gets a service dial.
