Oyster Perpetual - Amazing pics

Just found this review from Time + Tide, and the guys from down under nailed this photo shoot of the Oyster Perpetuals. Enjoy! The blue one is getting hard to resist, such a versatile and fun piece.

Whoa, just realized the size the images were. If any mod knows how to size them down, please!

Amazing photos indeed.

The article is okay, however they did say 2 things that were off base. Firstly they used the phrase "entry level", and this isn't the cheapest model in the line nor do I like to hear that said about any product. Secondly, they said they wished it was powered by a more modern Rolex caliber. I don't think they realize the 3132 is about as modern as it gets for a time-only movement. It's what? A few years old at best, and has all the features of any other movement. It's not like they put a caliber 1520 or even a 3000 in there. A silly thing to say.

I'm considering flipping my Air King and Speedmaster for a grape dial Oyster Perpetual.

The Air King was my first Rolex, so it's a bit of a tug of love!

Keep your AK, you'll regret that sale in a year

Still thinking whether to celebrate this new trend or throw up.

For such a conservative company, anything kind of different looks flamboyant...

Surely you jest! We are talking about the same company that produces diamond encrusted leopard print watches, and you find this over the top?

What do you guys think about the red grape dial? I like blue but the red grape is unique and really special, but is it going to be just a short fling?

The blue and they grey work anytime, anyplace. The red is a bit more casual I think. No bad choice though.

Because Rolex never makes anything that isn't conservative. Besides, what's wrong with being flamboyant?
