I think the difference on the lugs between the two is negligible.

Much prefer the 116610 with the slimmer lug-to-lug width.

Looks great, but honestly, if they weren’t right next to each other, would you even notice the difference.

Also, when you viewing one from more than 5 feet away, I’m certain the overwhelming majority of people could never determine if it’s the 114060 or 124060.

I still might get one though...I think I’d like to have both.

I prefer the older Subs from about 20 years ago....just prior to eliminating the lug holes. I like the size of the bezel compared to the case, the smaller dial markers on the face, the more delicate band. The wider band is less comfortable to me. I don't think anybody would be able to pick up the difference between a 2020 and a 2000 sub from 3 feet on someone else's wrist and even up close on inspection you need to be a Rolex aficionado to be able to tell! Not like the ceramic bezel Daytona which has a very different look and IMO was an improvement in the Steel models. Very noticeable and something that people who are not really into watches just appreciate as being a better looking piece without knowing what they are even looking at. Below is the 2000 model I like and I'm pretty sure that the average person cannot tell this from a new 2020 model even up close unless they are really into Rolex. For me however this is more comfortable and iconic looking than the new one. The new 2020 however IMO is an improvement over the previous iteration but I like this older one the best.

I like the shorter hands of the 114060.
