Interesting how close the clasps are in length and width. Makes the clasp look a little big on the Sub IMO.

Thanks OP for the great work and these pictures are very helpful
To me it looks like he measured including the case not just the bezel ... perhaps it’s the angel of the picture ... maybe the OP can clarify

The case is what should be measured, but still doesn't jibe with what i was getting. I'll grab a measurement tonight and see what I get on my SD43. I swear it was 43 on the nose but I'll double check.

Therein lies the rub ...
It depends where the calipers land on the case/bezel.

Measurement should be done on 10-40 or 20-50 bezel marks, with the calipers going all the way down to the bottom of the case, not just the bezel. At least that’s how I did it.

On the other hand, calipers might have slightly different calibration. Curious to see your results, please share it here.

Thank you!

So the Sub bracelet is narrower than the SD43. I’d like to see a comparison like this if the SD43 vs DSSD.

That is correct, I did my best to accurately measure the case, not the bezel, on the 10-40 or 20-50 markers.

Great pics!! I have the SD43 and find it very comfortable to wear. One of the biggest complaints on this forum is that the SD43 case back is pointy and uncomfortable. It appears that the new sub case back is almost the same and sticks out of the watch case the same distance.

That’s what I’m joking about here. NO offense to you personally but this is why we get different measurements as below.

Clearly this guy measures the bezel, which seems to coincide with most of the measurements floated around so far (except yours)

No offense taken, you are right, most of the measurements are done on the bezel but the feel of the watch is dictated, in my opinion, by the case. In any of the cases, we don’t get the official 41mm dimension, neither the bezel nor the case.

Curious how Rolex did their measurements.

I’m very curious too, as there is overhang on the bezel but the case tapers

OP, is the Sub bezel larger than the 10mm on previous versions or did it remain the same?

Also, thanks for the comparison pics! Lots have been waiting for this!

By far the best/most useful post related to the new sub. You, sir, are the man.
