Congrats On your new pick up!
Great post as I’m considering a new Sub myself.

Do you have the lug to lug from the ends of the solid Center links as I believe this gives a more true lug to lug on wrist

Thanks for the comparisons! Two greats but I still prefer the SD.
Good luck on getting the JC DSSD. That one trumps them all.

Thanks for sharing and congrats!

Interesting that the SD43 and Sub41 are not using the same bracelet as I would’ve expected.

SUB41 the lug-to-lug measured on the center of the endlinks is 51mm.

SD43 the lug-to-lug measured on the center of the endlinks is 53.3mm, same as the EXP2 42.

Congrats on the new Sub. You answered the question I had (how does the new sub compare to the SD43). I thought they'd be similar enough to compete with each other, but they show and wear as two distinct watches. Thank you for sharing.

These watches are made for men. I love my sd43! I may need the new sub black no date.

Fantastic info Bogdan.

The new sub and the SD43 are very close in their proportions; big brother, little brother. There is something for bigger and smaller wrists. Now people can choose what looks better on them. The thickness (sub is 80% of SD) and the weight (sub is 86% of SD) are pretty close.

You've provided some invaluable information.

What are the widths of the Exp2 clasp and removable links vs the SD43 and Sub41?

Stay close, I’ll cover the Exp42 in a separate post as soon as I get some spare time.

I have to say, I'm a fan of the new slimmer lugs on the 41mm Sub
