3940p dial question
I have a 3940p that my father got from Sotherby's auction.
When I look at other people's 3940 pictures, I notice difference. The right circle that shows leap year and months, positions of numbers are different and there is no cross line. What kind of dial is mine? |

The watch was made from the mid 80’s until 2006(?). The dial changed over the years.
First Series - mostly silver but many have champagne subdials and/or darker tone for the night portion of the subdials. Second Series - subdials have more pronounced depressions so all the hands can pass over and still be readable Third Series - Leap year subdial divided into four quadrants by crossing thin black lines Very nice watch regardless of which series. Congratulations. David |

That's a beautiful watch. Love the first series dials. Definitely an uncommon combination with this metal...
