If you had $200K
If you had $200K to spend on a watch (and some of you have) which would you prefer- PP 5270P or Vacheron Twin Beat?
This is like tech (Vacheron) V. Panache (Patek). |

I had to look up the VC. Seems nice in a JLC kind of way. That being said there is no comparison here, the Patek will remain relevant historically and aesthetically while the VC will not. If you really like it buy the VC at a staggering discount on an auction site, please don’t pay even close to retail for any VC.

if you buy that watch and have unpaid bills then there is a bigger issue at play here.

His question took all that into account when he said if you had $200K to spend on a watch. That is, the $200K is unencumbered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think it’s more than $200k, but that new Salmon dial ALS Datograph Tourbillon took my breath away when I saw the pictures. I do have a soft spot for Salmon dials.

I’d buy a fur coat (but not a real fur coat; that’s cruel.)

3939 should be available at that price. That's what I'd do versus the mainstream stuff.

I wouldn't buy just one watch either, I'd start and finish the collection. A solid gold sub, a no date sub and a dress watch (ALS or AP), a few Lady Datejusts for the women in my family, and some cash to spare for maintenance costs and such.

5270p. But for 200k, i would pick a 5740g and a FPJ CB. A great sports watch and a great dress watch.
