Not really a Moonphase fan, but those are pretty cool!

I like moonphase, but this is the first time I see one without the date function. Not that it matters to me. I have two watches with moonphase complication and I never really bother to set correct moonphase on them anyway.

it also reminds me of my favorite moonphase watch, JLC Reverso Tribute Moon, with hammered moonphase display.

Not my favorite from Panerai but I am sure it works for some.

Have to admit that I only know very, very little about Panerai...but this is the first that I immediately loved.

I like it. Panerai offers a lot of options...something for everyone.

Panerai doesn't even know who they are any more. I don't think we know either. I'd understand if they have a focus or new line introduction. But this just seems like throwing a stick in the mud and seeing if it sticks.

Their focus seems very clear to me, Panerai added a moon-phase to the Due lineup. People want options and Panerai delivers. I just bought my wife a Due because:

1. Panerai offers an excellent selection to choose from
2. They have watches in stock (no waiting and empty shelves)
3. 8 year warranty
4. 30 day no-hassle return policy
5. Gigantic selection of Panerai OEM straps to choose from.
6. Can buy it at the boutique, on the phone or online.

As far as I am concerned, they know and I know exactly who they are - which is precisely why they get my business and the other brands don't.

Great analysis. Personally I like their older models, but not every consumer is an old dinosaur like me!

I like the older models as well, but they weren't really ideal for ladies (or people with very small wrists), but now there are plenty of size choices for everyone.

My fiancee is quite excited for this model. Our local AD has one put aside on the bracelet for her to go take a look at this weekend. Much like a few others have stated, I have also been seeing more women wearing Panerai. My fiancee loves her 048, it has become her daily wearer over her Cartier's or Rolex!

Julie Banderas who is a news anchor wears one on a bracelet. Looks great on her. I have been seeing more and more.

I like gold and MOP dials :) never thought I'd see that combo on a Pam.

Panerai current direction has me thinking I may dump my entire collection. They are grasping at ideas to remain mainstream while alienating historic fans. If they keep adding new models with gimmicky features then what becomes of the brand when everyone owns one?

I don’t get this. Why dump watches you already like because you don’t like their new ones? Panerai won’t survive making homage pieces for a few nutters, there’s a whole wide world out there. I have 2 early pieces and love them. There latest ranges don’t interest me at all.

Agree! On my end, between the older and newer model, I prefer the newer movement on the old Luminor (not 1950) and Radiomir model. There so buttery to wind.

So how did she like it? The 38mm Panerai’s are really interesting to me. I always have liked the look of the Panerai & that size works for me better than some of the larger options. I wish they would come out with a California dial in 38mm.

She loves it! She loves that it flies under the radar when she's at work as many of her colleagues are not too familiar with Panerai! As some may ask, her wrist is about 5.75".
