Here I go again...

I have become a chronic flipper, often buying again I watch I sold in the past, seems like I just can't resist the urge to own something else and since funds are limited I always flip something.

I've flipper too many watches and brands to list here, but the issue is this:

I flipped a Speedy Pro (hesalite) to buy a Pam111
I liked the Pam a lot, but missed the Speedy too much, so I sold it
Only to buy another Speedy Pro
Now I miss the Pam too much, but don't want to flip the Speedy
So I'm thinking of springing for a pre-loved Pam

I wanted a base, either Luminor or Radiomir, but yesterday I was offered a Pam024 which I have never liked and never considered.

But once I tried it, it was all over right then and there, I just had to have it. It's amazing how something I thought I didn't like becomes all of the sudden an obsession.

So, the price is reasonable, the watch is in good condition and buying would not jeopardize my financial stability.

Would you?

Never been a fan of submersibles, they always seem to stray too much from the true Panerai look. Is the resale value as strong as other lines? (I may end up flipping it in the future, you know...)

Thoughts and comments welcome.

Would I? Sure! Sounds like you like it and when bought right, you won't lose money flipping. Sometimes going with the gut is the best way to watch happiness.

I would. The 24 was one of my first Subs and is a classic in it's own right.

I have had my 24 for 1 month, and it has become a personal favorite. For me, it's a really nice look that you can mix up with strap options. It is really a great piece - go for it!

You said that you were never into Subs; What about the 024 turned you around?

Not sure... I guess the matte bezel reduced the shiny look of the 111 I never really warmed up to.

Plus I thought they were a lot bulkier than regular Luminors, but reality is they are almost the same.

Unexpected turn of events indeed.

But it is not the first time it happens to me, it has happened the other way around, I always want a Daytona, I walk into the AD to buy one and when I try it on the love goes away.

So... I obviously did it.

Stay tuned and come back every once in a while, maybe I'll flip it, hopefully not soon!

First day and I like it, it has a few scratches in the bezel, but I don't mind (a lot).

How much would a new bezel be? lol

I'm not used to the date on a Pam, and the view is very distorted sometimes, is that normal? given the thick cristal I think so.

Why would the crystal be so much thicker than a regular Luminor is the WR is the same?

What do you know?

The 024 is gone, a coworker liked it so much that he made me an offer I couldn't refuse, I made a little money to put in my pocket and bought a 177:

I like it, pretty similar to the 11 I used to own but with the more matte look of the 024. It is very light also!
