Icon6 I'm finding that this is my favorite part of this forum

I had been a visitor to this site for years and finally joined awhile back. I find the Panerai forum tends to focus on the watches and watch discussions.

I find it strange that on a watch forum (other sections) I see all kinds of posts flaunting alleged material possessions owned by the people posting some of which have no purpose other than to show off in some way. It reminds me of the people who walk around flashing their watches or sticking them under people's noses...

You can be anyone you want these days, just create your own persona, post some pictures and you can magically become someone else....

That being said I find the Panerai section to be my favorite at this point....now where is my picture of me and my Panerai in my castle courtyard as I oversee the plebes and serfs under my control while wearing my custom made white gold and diamond outfit next to my supersonic jet parked next to the armory where I keep my gazzillions of dollars that I earned while wrestling bears and tigers on Mount Everest after I retired from my stint as batman/superman/ironman....

Is it ok to be this awesome while wearing a Panerai????

Well, it does seem to be a laid back group centered around a relatively authentic product. Tough to make generalizations, but, I do like it here.

It is well known that certain personalities are attracted to differet brands of watches. I see this clearly with the major players like Omega, Rolex, Panerai, AP, etc.....

I detest the "brand X verses brand Y threads". These threads are more about newbies validating their watch purchase than anything. As many of us owners of multiple brands, we never see a conflict and see the watch world as "brand X and brand Y" and brand Z"

I own Pateks, Omegas, Rolexes, and a 372. It's possible to appreciate many watches.

Well a lot of threads are silly I agree and serve no point other than to flaunt one's alleged material possessions

Perhaps creating a few new subdivisions would be helpful like a fashion forum a car forum
