And... Day four (4), My consecutive days of bad luck continues

Ahem.....

So uh.... Before I start this thread, I want to point out another TRF member is mentioned; Trace (TheRolexkingofLV). I have had the pleasure of meeting Trace and spending time with him on several occasions. THERE IS NOT A FINER GENTLEMAN IN THIS WORLD. Trace is genuine, kind, a credit to this forum and I am honored to call him my friend Ok, so let's get to what happened this morning.

A day or so ago, Trace texted me, asking for my shipping address and said he wanted to send me a book. I told him that really wasn't necessary, but he insisted, saying something like: "You've had a bad week, I think you'll enjoy this... no big deal... I think you'll enjoy this BOOK" (remember that word). This generous gesture is typical Trace, and I was not at all surprised. I gave him my shipping address.

This morning, a package arrived. I opened it up, excited to see which BOOK Trace had sent me. Imagine my shock and surprise, when I discovered the box contained a brand-new Toshiba noteBOOK Laptop!!!!

OMG! I don't deserve this! Trace! You have seriously outdone yourself! I am not surprised by this gift, and I got the "book" analogy but I can't accept this. I call him immediately. The conversation went like this:

Me: Trace! "Thank you..but I can't accept this!"
Trace: "Oh sure you can, it's nothing really, enjoy it! Have a better week"

Me: "Trace, I... I am speechless, this gift is really too much!"
Trace: (Laughs) "No it's not Bro... nothing, just a little token, enjoy!"

Me: "Trace, you are generous to a fault but I have to send this back..."
Trace: "Nope, not accepting it, it's your gift."

Me: "Yeah, but...a brand new laptop computer!?"
Trace: "No, really, it's no big- ... .. . .. ..

... ... ... . ... .. ...

... .. .... ..

.. ... ..... .. .... .. ... ...

... ... . . ..... .... . . .... .... Computer?"

Trace's shipping company had sent me the wrong package.

... ..... ..... ... ..

... ........... .... ... .... ....

Oh and my book? It went to someone else, we are still trying to track it down....

Ok here's the UPDATE: The girl at the UPS Store packaged and shipped your package to Toshiba, where that Laptop was supposed to go. They found your box though! Its being sent back to Vegas now. You'll have the correct box shortly...I hope!

See, this wasn't a curse Paul, just an incompetent UPS employee that switched mailing labels! Your luck is already changing my friend!

You DO need to take up drinking. In Vegas, we’ll head to a bar in Caesars that is internationally known for mojitoes, and drinks are on me. After a few, we’ll really trash talk Trace!!
