Holy, nuts, that really is unfortunate, didn’t you just get the RAV4? That’s really too bad, hopefully it looks worse than it actually is.

I’m sure you are well insured for this sort of thing so no sweat. Would be terrible to total a car over small dents but I know it happens all the time

Such is life.

It's five months old. The missus was pretty upset.

My beloved '99 F250SD is made of proper steel and only has a couple really noticeable dents in the hood and on the roof. The roof can't be seen unless standing in the bed, so I'll be happy to replace the hood and call it a day. You can't buy 6 speed manual, 7.3L turbo diesels anymore, and this one is chipped for crazy torque, so there's no way I'll be letting the insurance company total it.

Absolutely fantastic cars which give you the best of both worlds. Not many cars can beat it plus it fits the wife, 2 kids, dog and luggage in it for weekends away.

Ha! That's funny. Not quite - that's the front entrance to the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. We were at a PCA event there last Fall. It would be a little big for the two of us

Beautiful spec! That's the C43 AMG, right? How are you liking it so far?

Hey Thanks! Yes C43. Absolutely love it. My favorite all around car I have had. A nice mix of performance, all wheel drive, and luxury in a convertible. Fast and nimble enough to be fun. Fairly roomy for my 6'3" frame, comfortable seats, and my golf clubs fit in the trunk with the top down. Oh and really great sound with the special order AMG exhaust package.

Thank you. It was a gamble, no pics to see other than doing the build on the MB site. I had it down to 2 builds and literally the day of my order decided to go with the "night edition".

Guys would you be able to share your experience about the cons of a convertible ?
Why would one buy a coupe Porsche and not a convertible other than the convertible being a little bit less attractive cosmetically and the price difference ?

Very cool. I was married at the biltmore fall 2016. Love that part of the country.

Few things come to mind. Aesthetics. Weight (convertibles normally heavier). Chassis rigidity. Resale value.

I for one love convertibles but there are considerations.

At one point, I had to have two cars. Usually a Corvette Roadster and a winter car due to living in the PNW and driving mountain passes in the snow regularly. I would never own a Corvette that was not a roadster. To me, having two cars is a drawback: wash, maintain, garage two cars. The old convertibles, the tops sucked and leaked. Not with the new ones. Really tight and quiet.
When the Germans started building AWD sporty convertibles I made to move to one car all purpose vehicle. That was about 15 years ago with an Audi RS4 Cabrio. Great in the sun and snow. About 6 cars later and they keep getting better. Some convertibles the trunk is really small, added weight, resale is generally poor. First thing I check is the trunk...need to fit golf clubs and a suitcase in there.

Last summer I picked up a Chevy Colorado with the Duramax Diesel. It's a great combination of smaller size, with great towing. It has the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder gas engine, with the torque of a V-8.
