Oh yeah, my days just keep getting better and better!

Ahem..... So uhm..... If you read my thread about yesterday, having four things break on me in the same day, you would conclude: “Hey, it can only get better Paul” ... ... ... You would be wrong.

So... TODAY... well, let me start with a bit of a prologue. See, I have been seeing a lady friend the past few months, whom happens to be quite a bit younger then me. How much younger you would ask? Well, let’s just say in the 20-ish year range. She is an absolute sweetheart, very nice, mature, fun to be with. We both know we are not each other’s end games, but are having a very nice time and enjoy the ... “relationship.” It is casual and makes me happy so: WHY THE HELL NOT!? OK, now lets jump to today.

She is looking to change jobs and wanted to do some shopping for interview clothes, so we had a nice lunch at the local mall and hit the stores. In Nordstrom, we are looking at lady’s business suits and slacks, there is a very nice assistant helping her choose a couple outfits to try on, and we walk towards the dressing rooms. As the two of them enter the dressing area, I say something like: “I’ll be out here by the mens suits sweetheart” or some other-endearing but not romantic comment. She comes out several times with the different outfits on and together we decide on a couple that really looked nice, and go to purchase them. The first time she exited, she had this really funny smirk on her face, I asked her what was up, but she said “I’ll tell you later” And I noticed the assistant was standing within ear-shot so let it go.

Now, we are at the purchase counter, everything is bagged up and we are walking out. I asked her: “What was that big smirk on your face when you came out of the dressing room?” She looked around to make sure no one could hear and with a HUGE smile said:

“When we were walking in to the dressing area the assistant asked if you were my father”

... ..... ..... .. .... ....... ........

...... ...... ....... ........ .........

........... ........................ ..

..... .......... .................

Sigh.....

Hahahaa
Maybe the interpretation in the sales gal's mind was 'sugar daddy' but she was just trying to be nice...
Your friend sounds very sweet.

bahahahaha!
i copped the complete opposite, i was in specsavers with my daughter and 2 grandkids when i went back to Aus at xmas and the lady said to me infront of my daughter that my children are beautiful and my wife and i are very lucky.......... well that didnt go down well with my daughter to say the least and she quickly correct the woman saying "IM HIS DAUGHTER AND THEY ARE HIS GRANDKIDS!"
Needless to say i gave her shit all day about the fact either her dad (me) looked remarkably young or she looked really old lol!!!
My actual girlfriend is 15 years younger then me but the fact she is Asian i dont think she gets mistaken as my daughter lol!

I can relate to this.

When I was 38 I was dating a girl 15 years younger than me. We were shopping.

As she goes into the changing room an older woman says something like “what a nice day you must be having shopping with your daughter”

I was not pleased.

But really, when you think about it...come on!!! No complaining about this.

My wife is much younger than I am.
Thanks to good genes we both look younger than our true ages

The parents of her contemporaries ( Prep School) always thought I was the same class year,, just a different Prep school....although I was closer in age to them

Embrace it!!!!
It’s a gift.
So what if she graduated with some of my nieces
After 25, we’re all the same age

Just don't sign her yearbook. It'll come back to haunt you if you run for Senate.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Sorry Paul, but I can top that. A few years ago my mom and her husband were out visiting and we went into a marine supply store (they were live-a-boards for many years and can't pass a boating supply store without stopping in). Anyway, my mom and I went in the store to buy some sea bands for my wife, my mom goes to use the head and I go to check out. The guy behind the counter asks me if I want to wait until my wife comes back to see if she had anything else to add to the bill...

That does not sound bad to me Paul, you are escorting a fine lady, totally legal as being 20 years younger than you she must be well into her forties.

EDIT: You are asking for it with threads like this one. Being with a younger woman means you are still charming my friend.

Paul, whatever you do don't inflate her with more then 35 PSI

Those newer dolls don't take as much pressure as the old ones.
