Strap manufacturers
I’m thinking of getting a new strap for my 5212a.
Any good strap manufacturers you could recommend? Thanks in advance |

Strap manufacturers
Camille Fournet or Jean Rousseau. Both make stunning straps.
This is a nubuck Camille Fournet. I also have a 5172 Patek strap which works well on the 5212a. |

I like Monstraps, Delugs and Veblenist. All 3 are affordable and almost the same quality as Camille Fournet.

Given you are UK based I can recommend Equus Leather. I can’t post a link given my post count but a Google search will find them.
No affiliation just a satisfied customer although for their belts, but a friend has a couple of their watch straps which I really like. Plus they have been really good to deal with. However I could not say how they compare to other better known recommendations already given. Hope no one minds me posting. |

Which specific selection on their website is that strap? Is it one of the calfskin ones? There are a variety of subtypes but it’s hard to tell which version that is. |

Delugs is great though they just had a pretty decent price increase. I've ordered an embarrassing number of straps from them, both custom and in stock ones. I used to order Camille Fournet but those prices have gone up a lot too and can take some time depending on the material. Can't say I can tell much a difference in quality. I know others like veblenist but I've had a few that the quality was not good, though they did refund me quickly which other strap makers seem to be hesitant to do so they definitely get kudos for good service. Just realized this was an older thread oops

Delugs is a dangerous site for me to go on.
On the subject of straps, anyone tried Viscont Milano before? Want to get some new straps for my 5712. https://viscontimilano.com/product/milano-grey-white-stitching-natural-rubber-strap-for-patek-philippe-nautilus/ |

5212A Straps UK
I’d try The Strap Tailor - David has made 5 or so straps for my watches and is excellent - here’s my 5212 on his premium suede strap.

I've been buying Molequin straps. For me they work perfectly being short straps for my smaller wrist as well as the fact they are a lot thinner than Patek or other companies. I personally can't stand the bulkiness/thickness on Patek straps.

However, I bought a few straps from FPJ which were made by JR and they were all great. |

I second David at The Strap Tailor. Here are two he just made up for me:
Marine blue Ostrich And Oxblood Epsom. Both straps lightly padded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I also changed the strap on my 5212a but went with OE PP strap from another Calatrava.
Keeping the quick release function was important for me and PP straps have the little pocket for the pin to work. I don't know if these other mentioned brands have that detail though. |
