This proves that Watchfinder were not handing out discount flyers.

I didn't answer his text right away, so he texted me again the next day to say he grabbed the watch and was saving it for me. First time we've spoken at all since the Pandemic started, so I thought it was a bit odd. (But I got the watch anyway, and I was grateful to the AD for remembering me!)

In any case, might be indicative of supply catching up to demand. Why txt a cold customer twice, if "they can sell every watch they get"? And I checked a bit on Chrono24 and Bobs, and sale and offer prices for the LV have come down quite a bit over the last year (going rate used to be 17 or 18K or more, now they're going at 16 fairly consistently, it seems).

I know, one model doesn't make it an industry trend, but in this one case used prices are down, and my AD is calling around trying to get rid of it (hyperbole, of course)...

The Green subs were always the "red-headed stepchild" in the AD case. It will be the first to have Hype wear off.

In the most important place in North Miami where dozens of vendors gather offering their products, recently it was impossible to see a Rolex sports watch and now there are hundreds.
Besides Miami and neighboring cities have many great sellers of used watches. People can check in those places.
Any number of Submariners and Daytonas. Let's not talk about the advertisements on all Internet sites offering them.
Clarification: I thought it was interesting and beneficial news for people who are looking for this type of watch and could access it more easily. Nothing more. I didn't think most people would be upset because the prices dropped. We'll wait a few months to see what happens.

Would suggest you check out the most visited thread in the forum where this has been discussed ad nauseam. It’s pretty split here wrt those who think prices are down and those that think it’s all fine. Only time will tell.

However anyone saying then grey market isn’t an indicator of anything is mistaken. I mean you now have codes and Roos half off retail on the secondary market. You’re telling me that doesn’t indicate anything? Cmon.

The overall index continues to fall, and the Rolex index is going along with it. The slight runup in Rolex prices from Jan is collapsing as the overall index hits new annual lows.

For BLNRs specifically, closed prices on Moda are about $500 lower for new 2023 examples compared to about 2 weeks back, 17.6 for the latest auction vs 18 from about 1 to 2 weeks back, and other new examples selling at 17.2 to 17.5, putting a cap on the upper range of prices.
