Gold for Gold? Would you?
I am contemplating moving my 42m new style Gold ROO (26470or) for a Gold RO (15400or black face/black alligator strap) and using the left over $$ to pick up a pre-owned (or new) Diver or another more casual piece (possibly Rolex).
Does this make sense ? I do like the 26470or (yes I like the dial ) but am thinking the combo of the 15400or and diver will give me a little more diversity in providing one dressier and one more casual piece. I do have a FC44 which would stay. As always.....thoughts are very welcome and opinions are appreciated ! TIA |

Yes I would, I actually sold my Diver for a RG ROC rather than ROO as I preferred the slimmer size, but having a RG RO and Diver is a dream pair for me.

I agree with the above posts. The rose gold ROC is one of my favorite AP models and would definitely be the only gold watch in my collection. I hope to see pictures soon!!

It would be the RO 15400or in gold that I am looking at, not the chrono. While I certainly like the chrono, I would be looking for a slightly cleaner look on the dial.

Hahaha sorry about that, I read gold RO and my mind immediately went to the rg ROC . The 15400or is also breathtaking, the only problem being what dial color to pick!!

Makes sense to me provided you are keeping the 44. That is a lot of RO action. Maybe consider a lange or Patek dress piece?

It would be tempting, but you could just add a Diver to your collection. That would be something I would do so then I have two hefty pieces.
