Deepsea 116660 vs. 126660 vs. 136660
I know it wasn't long after the Deepsea 116660 came out that there was a consensus that the bracelet was not proportionate to the case. The introduction of the Deepsea 126660 in 2018 appeared to quiet that notion as the bracelet was widened by 1 mm and tapered to a somewhat wider clasp. For argument's sake, saying there's a "136660" in 2028, what changes do you feel still need to be made or would you like to see?

The watch will be the same, no need to change anything.

It would be so amazing if they could reduce the thickness of the watch while keeping the depth rating.
I’d probably buy it again. I may still anyway |

I dont think so specially that the scientist predicts that the umuamua or the elongated space rock from another dimension might comeback and hit our horological planet.

The thickness and the writing on the silver rehaut ring are the only two points of contention I can recall with regards to the new 126660. Was just wondering if anyone had any additional concerns. As a new owner it seems perfect to me, but someone two years in may have more perspective.

I don’t think the first change was needed, so not sure of any others. It is a beast of a watch, and the flagship diver. It’s not for everyone, and I like that about it. I would say leave it alone

My prior daily was a D1000 Frogman at 18mm thick, so anything less than the Deepsea wasn't going to cut it.

The thickness is what drew me to it. The gradient dial doesn't hurt, either.
I have the MK I, and after removing the diver's extension, is quite comfortable, with the wrist I was born with. Wider links and longer power reserve on the MK II is an improvement, but negligible in my eyes, so I see no reason to 'upgrade'. I wear mine more so than any other watch I have. In the spirit of this thread, I would hazard to guess that they'd discontinue it before they updated anything about it. |

I have owned two of them on the old bracelet. Not a well balanced watch in my opinion.
And just to thick, kept hitting door frames with them.It is a very impressive piece of engineering.I now have the Single red 43mm,and it is the most perfect Rolex diver ever made in my opinion. |

I almost went with the SD43, just couldn't get past the cyclops as a former 16600 owner. After having the domed sapphire crystal of the Deepsea, however, I'm not sure I could ever go back--it's spectacular!

But if they dropped it, what would they have as their halo diver reference? Would it be replaced with something very different? Perhaps a Titanium variant for something that's truly cutting edge like the DSSD is intended to be for the 136660? |

After the 126660, I think they'll kill the Deepsea, it's too heavy and thick. The SD43 is perfect as the Super Submariner and I see no need for two of these.

I wear the DSSD daily. The other watches get worn only to occasionally break things up. |

Love my 126660. Even though its pretty heavy it wears comfortable as a daily on my 7 1/4 wrist. Wouldn't have much of a suggestion to change.

Reviving this old thread now that the 136660 is officially out! What are the differences, I can't notice anything at first sight! Movement and certification?

Really don’t know what’s the difference between 126660 and 136660 at first sight.

Nice bump indeed !
All specs read the same. What gives ? Maybe subtle tweaks to the taper and/or lugs? |
