THIS! The perfect 2 watch collection IMHO. I have my father's sub (with date), but Omega Speedmaster is by far my favorite
No date is the way to go! Can’t argue with this! Love the leather strap on the speedy.

Wish they made a no date Explorer II; don't like that ugly cyclops.

I sneaked in the back door being a Tudor owner but I don't like the date or anything else come to think of it.
Only an uncluttered symmetrical dial for my " Timepiece ". |

I’ve just bought a 16613, and wear it daily but the no date sub, either ceramic or 5 digit really appeals to me as a perfect every day wearer too.

Pick up ...
Set time, a few winds and go. Most of the time, I don't even bother setting the date (Watches with date). It takes me a few times to pull the crown to the correct position. It is pain in the butt if I pull it out too far. . . |

no date preferred whenever possible.
exception is my explorer II, my travel watch, while travelling i do find the date useful to help know when to board the plane.

I do wish it had a date, but there’s no realistic way to make it look good with the already busy dial. |

I agree esthetically, but I use my watch more to check the date than the time, so not for me.

The only one I can stomach is the Daytona for about a day...

The joy of simplicity - an elegant statement IMO.
For a watch to qualify for me - Grande Date Magnified Date or No Date. I totally get it. And, dials and sub-dials just aren’t for me. Simple minds need simple watches, is my excuse. I do prefer a date window, but not a deal breaker for me.

No date was actually my criterion to decide which model to buy. Reasons: 1) symmetry. 2) I never, ever, need to adjust it. 3) don't like cyclops. 4) people don't recognize it without the cyclop, good! The choice was then between sub, explorer 1 and daytona. The daytona not being available I opted for the 114060. I love it, however I might try replacing it with the 124060. Not sure about that though.

I like looking at my watch and seeing the date. Couldn’t care less about “symmetry.”

+1 over here. I recently bought a 116520 in part because it is a no-date.
