It's not that popular of a choice but I'm going to say Pelagos. It's different enough from anything in Rolex's line up... or any other iconic watch that it is never really replaced by any other watch ultimately.

I agree on the North Flag being a viable option here. First in house movement, unique take on the classic ranger which is not duplicated in look and feel by any other watch.

The Heritage Chronograph is a fantastic piece. Any of the color options look great. I went with the Monte Carlo and love it. An overlooked detail of this piece is the steel bracelet. The fit and finish is top rate. I wish the bracelet on my Black Bay was as nice as the one on the Chrono.

Have you taken a look at the different Tudor watches? Do you personally like their design or the way they wear on your wrist? Or are you just getting one for the "join the club" goals?

I don’t have a Tudor (yet). Last two visits to AD I spent time browsing Tudor section. A pleasant effect of nothing in Rolex displays. I am very impressed. I know so many things look better under AD lighting etc but man I am blown away with how nice these are. My phones wife wanted to buy the monte carlo chrono for me on the spot with the caveat that she gets to wear it sometimes lol. We passed. But nonetheless my already favorable impression of Tudor has skyrocketed.

I agree with the 79220N, Tudor rose gilt dial, smile text, big crown. Might be as close to a 7924 as many of us will ever get. I have had mine 4 years and it has been a workhorse. It’s seen surf and turf, been banged around and outside of needing some case refresh is quite good.

The BB58 blue is another one Tudor has spot on. The color is very much like my blue 1968 snowflake. The size, weight and colors feel very similar to me. It is a great modern interpretation of the early snowflake. Only wish Tudor had built it with simi pointed crown guards…

And a photo of the 68 for color comparison. The BB58 can’t replace the 7016 for me but is a great alternative if you don’t have one. Especially at this price point. It’s great to have a modern choice that is under warranty and I’m not afraid to use.

1) The proportions of the BB58 are spot on especially if your wrist size in under 7 inches.

2) The 79220 with ETA movement is also a great piece and sits well on your wrist. Due to the relatively thinner movement the case back does not protrude as much as the existing Black Bay collection.

3) The Tudor Harrods Edition has a beautiful bezel and some great green touches such as the text on the dial and the tip of the seconds hand. Since this watch has Tudors in house movement it does sit a little taller on the wrist.

If I had to only keep one, it would have to be the BB58 for its size.
