Rolex Pepsi & Tudor BB GMT
Just picked up a new Rolex Pepsi at my local AD awesome watch!! I also purchased a Tudor GMT from my same ad around 6 months ago. I love both watches. I asked myself do I need to keep the BB GMT? After thinking about it all day, I am going to keep both. The Tudor GMT is build like a tank, keeps great time and fits my big wrist! No date wheels issues. I was worried about the fake rivets on the Tudor GMT, but don't even notice them while wearing the watch. I wish the bracelet had some more taper. The watch does wear a little big but you get use to it.
Now to the Rolex GMT Pepsi it's a great watch. Its the first watch I have owned with a jubilee bracelet and wow its the most comfortable watch I own. The watch wears a lot better than my 114060 sub. The Pepsi wears amazing! I wish the Rolex GMT came with one more additional link. Both watches have amazing fit and finish but the Rolex wins IMO but not by much. Then again @ 10k vs 3800 hundred for the Tudor it should win. The Tudor GMT is a great watch and a great value! Both are amazing watches and each will serve a different purpose. |

Congrats! I have the same pair and would recommend keeping both. As much as they are similar, they are both very different.

Certainly room for both in a collection. The BB GMT has become my favorite for many of the reasons you've mentioned. Mine has run flawlessly with amazing accuracy since purchased new in 2019.

I agree with you Dan. Some of your posts helped me decide on getting the GMT tudor!

Always surprised how much bigger the Tudor GMT looks when side by side considering its 41 vs. 40 I believe. That 1mm is a mile!

Tudor is nice. However, too big for me. I prefer 40mm.

Congrats and love the duo! I also own a Tudor GMT and my only complaint would be it wears less comfortably than my Deep Sea. I can only imagine how much more comfortable the Pepsi could wear.

Congratulations. Keep both. I bought the WG Pepsi and had the Tudor GMT and thought it was redundant so I sold the Tudor, mistake. A little later, I sold the WG Pepsi and had to go on a waiting list at my AD but eventually got one back. I then bought the SS Pepsi on Jubilee and both exist in my collection very nicely. The Tudor in more of a tool watch way and the Pepsi in a more of a Rolex way. I wear my Tudor GMT most of the time on the leather strap but on occasion on the NATO or bracelet.

Both watches may do the same thing as far as functionality, but they are so different in other ways. When you think about it, it wouldn't be much point in Tudor creating the same exact watch as Rolex. Wears so differently vs the Rolex. Nice big chunky toolish vibe to the Tudor. Vintage in some ways like the aluminum bezel yet moden in case size and proportions. More refined formal jewelry vibe to the Rolex GMT. Certainly room for both in any collection. Congrats!

completely different levels...keep both. I do like the Tudor Chrono SG...so that is an option if you want to trade in the TUDOR GMT.

I switched the BB GMT from bracelet to a sienna leather strap and it really came into its own.
I would never think of switch a modern Rolex from the bracelet as that is really part for wearing a Rolex for me. For me that speaks to a fundamental difference between them and these two watches and makes it an easy choice to keep both. |
