How much wear out of 5270P?

Have been offered this by my AD. It’s a grail watch and at this cost has to be an end watch!
I’ve a 5990 used almost daily plus a few Rolex Sports incl. Daytona Ceramic.

How much regular use do owners really get out of these? If they’re kept as safe queens then I take it’s constant setting each time for special occasions only.

Daytona is only worn occasionally because too much recognition already, but guess a Patek PCC bit less recognisable?

I have 2 friends who own a 5270P and they both use it regularly.

If I had a PCC I would wear it most of the time, which is one reason why I am in no hurry to crackdown on my rotational collection.

I wear mine quite a lot. 1-2 days a week in a 12 watch rotation.

Is it WoS that have offered you this by any chance?

I think this will be my next purchase so I am following this with interest. I am worried that because it's a manual watch I will end up not wearing it once I forget to wind it for the first time.

Also OP can I ask if you have considered grey for this watch? I have never bought a grey as I prefer building up my AD profile. But for this particular watch there is a possible £25k saving by going grey. Plus like you this would be my "end" watch so what other kudos would I actually need from the AD after this?

Not WoS, but the grey pricing is something which is making me hesitate to pay full MSRP! Ah, by end watch 5270P/J planned to have been my last purchase but am still waiting for my blue 5726A which is the pre-end end watch!

So, purchases out of sequence but that’s all I’ve got planned

Dont have a 5270 but do have a Lange Datogragh Perpetual ( very similar). I wear it all the time. Funny thing is that it gets more compliments than any of my others watches of course no-one knows what it is. I found this interesting as I would never expected that.

Saw this in the metal last week - such a fantastic watch! Unfortunately it's well outside of my budget, but I could certainly see it getting a lot of use.

As its basically a daily winder, it should be handy and worn regularly when the moment calls even if just for an hour or two at the end of the day.

For a grail watch like that, I’d wear that most days if not all.

if i had that watch, it would be my daily watch and i would probably trim down my collection big time.
two things make me hesitate about the white metal 5270:
1- PP made so much of them (G and P)
2- if i look at the 3970, i feel that the yellow gold is the one that aged the best (to my surprise).
so at this point in time, i would choose the 5270J over the 5270P

I bought a year ago. Salmon is unique and amazing. Also it is a great investment. How much is MSRP?

Sounds like owners can use these as a daily watch which would be best, since resetting can take a bit of time.
At £158,470 as per the UK PP website then hope to get a lot of use out of it!

Fantastic watch but winding it everyday is either a chore or a ritual; depending on your perspective. I wear mine often, but am cognizant where I will be going and what I will be doing. Most people will never notice it, unlike a 5k Omega!

No such thing as "our last watch"

Keeping a close eye on this thread for possible inspiration if the time ever does come. I think if it wasn't for COVID and how much my lifestyle has changed in the last year or so, I would have pulled the trigger by now (presently I'm wearing a £4 t-shirt as I type and haven't had a haircut in three months, so not exactly feeling my best self!)

How long will the 5270P stay in production ?
Has anyone an idea?
Another question to the 5270P owners which in watch box you get the watch... I am asking because of the pt case back...
