OP here. My budget increased by a bit and narrowed down to these:
- AP 15400OR (full rose gold bracelet and silver dial) - Day Date 40mm (rose gold with olive green dial and roman numerals). For the AP, will have to pony up an extra $7,000 from personal funds. Thoughts? |

As long as it’s not an “only” watch, those are both great choices! The Rolex will be a little more tolerant (less obvious) of scratches and daily wear. The AP’s rose gold and finishing is unmatched. I own an AP 15202OR and two Rolex DDs. I wouldn’t want to give up any of them. For what it’s worth, the DD will be easier to find used at a discount later (there’s simply more of them in the market). That might be the swing to purchasing the AP now, new, for me. Good luck. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I'd go with the AP out of those. The 40th Day Date is stunning, but when you throw a PM AP I. The mix, for me the Day Date moves to the side burner.
Good luck!! |

Have you considered not getting married and getting more watches?
I kid I kid; I'd ditch the Pan and get a PP or a DD40. Congrats on the engagement! |
