Perpetual calendar service turnaround times?

Wondering what your recent experience has been for normal servicing of a modern perpetual calendar, or what you think should be expected. Thank you.

My experience was from the summer of 2020...

Sent in my 3940 (from ATL too) and had it back in a few months (less than 3 if I recall) October time frame. Reading stories on line I expected a minimum of 6 to 12 months. Nonsense. But that was then.

Pretty impressive. Especially considering Chanel needed nearly 4 months (and counting) to change the battery on my wife's watch. "Has to be sent to NY", they said. "Needs special handling". "Oh for f@#$ sake", I said, with my inside voice... :)

Timing will likely depend on local Patek facilities as most distributors are set up to service up to and including perpetual level. Rattrapante, minute repeater, instantaneous perpetual, tourbillon etc etc goes back to Geneva.

4 months!

Did you follow the 5 year service advice or was it not working properly?

I avoid servicing watches until they stop. Views?

I just bought the PP 5039 unworn made around 2008 from a collection. Beautiful watch. Wore it maybe two weeks and it totally stopped. Oils were dry.
That was a brief engagement to be sure.

Just sent in 5270.

Quoted 10-12 weeks.

I think it depends on the region and it’s capacity vs demand.

Patek 5059 sent in pre-Covid b/c leap-year indicator didn't change with New Year. Sent to Geneva. Took over 5 months - had full servicing & came back looking & working like brand new!
