Agree with you the modern offerings are missing something
The modern sports cars aren't really missing anything.

They have become just well... too fast and too good.

Seriously, if I had a new 992 I'd probably lose my driver's license in two days. They are insanely fast.

These old ones are fast enough for me.

But both cars has 90% the same feel when you drive them. All old air cooled are actually the same car.

I honestly couldn't decide and there were two good examples available at the same times and the decision was very hard. Iris blue is more sparkling color which probably was the last deciding factor.

In the perfect world I'll own them BOTH in the future.
I hope you are, and so do I.
I love them both.

Stan, I just watched Jay Leno's video of this car.

These are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

Fantastically stunning car and watch, Juho. Hope you are thoroughly enjoying both of them! My duo says hello. Best, -Rick.

Wow, what a combo! I'm currently still working on my perfect combo, but my goal posts keep moving it seems. I currently have a 991.2 GT3 Manual and have an all black GMT LN. Waiting for my AD to call me for a BLRO i've been on the list for. Hopefully soon.

The air cooled cars have a soul that no modern Porsche can replicate. Very nice 993.

A lot of Porsche fans in TRF. That's nice.

Congrats! Air cooled Porsches fit some watches better than others.

I listened to a good podcast some years ago that equated the Submariner and 911 - both are iconic, have been around for decades, have gone through slow changes but remain similar to their initial appearance, are basic workhorses that are also items of desire, etc.

Sold mine last year. Easily the car I've enjoyed the most. We put a very serious suspension on it and it completely transformed the handling. It was like it could read my mind.

Yep. K-serial as my Sea-Dweller 16600 and 16710 too.

I really like the SEL/lugholes combo.
