I have to agree, the black strap is particularly cool on this piece. I did also get the tan brown suede strap they offer, which gives it a unique look, but the black rubber accentuates the dial more.
Would you consider fitting this one with a black alligator leather strap? I know some prefer rubber on the ROO.

I definitely prefer the rubber. I like the khaki rubber as well, see that as a shorts and t shirt strap, the black looks best with sleeves. It’s just an amazing piece, never seen a dial like it

And it does indeed appear to give it a more distinguished look compared to the black rubber. Do you have a preference for one look versus the other i.e. black rubber vs. alligator leather?
I like the idea of having the option, so I think I’m going to make that move.

I like your characterization of the khaki strap as going with shorts/t-shirt, while the black with sleeves. But then I see the black leather giving more options with sleeves (more on the dressier end of spectrum). In the end they all great, and nice to have options.

Honestly fantastic all things considered. I don't baby my watches really at all (7sins and some of the other guys on here will tell you I'm nuts) and outside from three or four really solid dings in the bezel around the two o'clock area and some hairlines around the clasp she looks as good as she did brand new out the box.

Everything from drunken door frame whacks to front axle swapping my 1975 F250.
