MB&F M.A.D.1 Red Lottery
MB&F M.A.D.1 Red Lottery
This just in... For the past 16 years, MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser has been creating other-worldly timekeeping machines - but Max has also been playing with a side project for a while now: creating a more accessible machine, under another label, but always with the crazy MB&F touch. The result: “M.A.D.1”. The M.A.D.1's fully visible triple-blade, titanium and tungsten rotor winds one of the rare automatic movements with unidirectional winding (essential for an easy, high-speed rotation), the reliable Miyota 821A, flipped upside-down – a nod to MB&F's HM3 and HM8. Time is displayed laterally thanks to revolving hour and minute cylinders, engraved and boosted with Super-LumiNova. The M.A.D.1 RED is priced at CHF 2900 excluding tax. Interested in purchasing one? Pieces will be allocated thanks to a lottery open to everyone from March 22nd to April 5th. On April 6th, we will proceed with a random draw, and let you know whether the draw has been favourable to you – in which case we’ll ask you to place your order. Deliveries are planned between September and December 2022. Lottery tickets and the M.A.D.1 RED are limited to a maximum of one per person. Worldwide shipping is offered free of charge. Local customs duties and other taxes applicable in the country of delivery are borne by the buyer. Video is at https://cdn.shopify.com/videos/c/vp/...0p-3.3Mbps.mp4 HERE IT IS... Judging by the audience here these days you’re merely signing up 10,000 investors lol
It is what it is though.

The Laine or the LM101 Willy Wonka? If the Laine, my Muse has already claimed it as hers. See, i wanted a TUX dial Laine, but she saw the purple and it was 'game over'.
If you mean the MB&F LM101 Willy Wonka, that's erotic and so very titillating too. Either way it's 100% cool, we love what we love, and i love my Muse first and foremost. She's also a timepiece enabler, so feel blessed to have her 'sanity' as i tend to... so need her calm, cool, and level-headed thought-process. Then again did just order the MB&F Red without her knowing (she's at work). Am sure she'll be cool with it. Heck, she doesn't even 'flinch' at any timepiece idea under $10k so am pretty sure we're all good

He said members of The Tribe could order one which is what I corrected. That is separate from what you are referring to. Steven may have ordered his via this channel, but it was not from being a member of The Tribe.

LOL!
C'mon guys, let's be honest here. If these are our 'problems' in life today let us all take a moment and give thanks. A bit of perspective. Seriously, look around... gratitude. Yes I received an email as have purchased MB&F / L'Epee 1839 Sherman, preordered the MB&F book... plus you guys surely know last year I emailed begging, pleading, heck, I'd even grovel (just a bit) for a blue. Hey, I ain't too proud to beg. Quote:
Oh man, those are YEARS back-ordered. Purple might be the same by now, not sure. You should get Willy Wonka Seriously, let's give thanks for simply having the ability, to have the means, in acquiring one. A bit of perspective pretty please (with sugar on top and a cherry). I have friends in Europe right now whose life situation is.... Thanks Elon Musk for getting the sats and hardware..........

i actually thought about selling mine to fund a voutilainen. dont have unlimited funds so usually something has to go when i have an incoming. didnt buy it to sell, but was severely tempted considering it would pay for the deposit of the vout. changed my mind when my kids absolutely love it, and you can't get anything else like it. also love mbf and their customer service, though releasing the same thing in a different color does make it feel a bit less special.

Yes it was about a 12 month wait when I inquired but they said a 50% deposit would make my order a priority to no deposit orders. Man things have changed in the past 12-18 months

Yup.
Wasn't like this in 1995. Was a bit weird during the Dot Com boom, but not too bad really. Yet now, today.... C....r...a..z....y!!!

It is always great seeing something different and inventive like this at a reasonable price! Good job by them and fun to see something like this lottery and them not charging to enter.

Oh yeah, paid thousands for just the chance to get a different brand/independent (read: not MB&F) super-duper black dial with rose gold highlights. And so.... Will let you readers here decide about this: I wasn't picked, YET was offered a discount on (non-watch hyped personal 'designer' fashion) items I didn't want, and guess what, the deposit could be used for said purchase. Their communication was good and they did refund the funds in a very timely manner.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered my lottery ticket. I was just in the MAD gallery a couple of weeks ago. The store manager had one on. I have to say, it looks incredible in person. Fingers crossed.
