6119G vs 6119R
Hi all, know it’s down to personal preference, just want to do a quick poll on 6119 white gold vs rose gold, and what outfit / style would you wear with 6119. Thank you!

Both beautiful. Complete toss up. I personally favor the g but the r looks amazing also.

I always prefer WG because its under the radar. I dress casual so would swap the OEM alligator strap out for something less formal.
Nice thing is Patek can custom make straps for you, takes a while but can be done. Heres my 5140G on an OEM strap that comes on the 5520P. |

As others have said, both are really nice. My initial preference was the R, but little by little I've moved toward the G, and now I'm looking more closely into the G for possible purchase.
In my mind, the R looks impressive, luxurious, classic, and R is always a great-looking metal on Patek. On the other hand, the G, in my mind at least, comes across a little more subdued, a little more subtle and while certainly classic, it also has a touch of modernity about it, which I like. Also, the vertical dial texture on the G looks especially nice against the charcoal color. Another thing to consider is other watches you already have. In my case, I've always purchased more R models, so G would add something different. But remember, what I or anyone else thinks is irrelevant: which do YOU like better? Try to look beyond current infatuation, and imagine what you might like longer-term. Which do you think would have more "staying power" in your eyes? That's the one to get. Have fun making your choice, cheers. |

Thank you! Your 5140G is a stunner! Agreed and I believe G’s mono tone is easier to match different straps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks a lot for your advice. I only have 1 PP (world time) and that’s a G. Also by looking at my watch collection - Rolex, AP, Omega and GS, most of them are in stainless steel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I went with G as the dial is one of the few Patek dress watches that doesn't scream "old man."

I bought the 6119R. First non-white model I've owned of any brand, and I absolutely love it. So much so that my next will be a rose gold watch too.
It's not just the color of the metal, though. It's the classic contrast with the creamy white dial i like. Of course, the G is pretty too. More modern and understated. Sent from my SM-F700U1 using Tapatalk |

G for me as the dial is way more interesting. Plus I’m out really a Rose Gold person. What’s weird is in the 5196, the G and R versions had the brushed dial while the YG 5196 was opaline. On the 6119G the did a brushed dial but an opaline dial on the 6119R?

Was only offered the G, but that would have been my choice anyway. That said, after wearing for awhile, I called back to try and get the R too, but no luck yet.

That's an amazing piece. One I've been eyeing for some time. Which size did you go for? Was concerned the 40mm might be "too big" given square proportions, but the smaller size seemed geared towards women.

I have seen both in person and chose the rose gold as I really liked the silver dial over the grey dial much better, although it would be really interesting to see it offered as in white gold, silver dial (the one from the rose gold version) and a black calf skin strap.
