You answered your own question.

If you need to ask text on a screen what to do with your expensive jewelry then I have no advice for you.

These questions are always the same, it is never about safety, it is always about the "look at me" with my jewelry.

Id say just leave it home. Chances are you will be ok but there’s always that small possibility. That’s my reasoning.

I would suggest you read the metro section of the NY Post every day for a week online. It is free.
That SHOULD dissaude you from wearing anything over $20 or better yet staying out of that woke toilet completely.

Lived and worked in nyc. I wear my watch on subway and even take the train into Newark. You just have to be street smart and beware of your surroundings. Just covered your valuables. NYC is not what it used to be. People get robbed over sneakers so watches are on top of the list for robberies. The better the neighborhood you are in, the higher the risk because robbers work in group. I used to see many people wearing Rolex watches in the Subway , not anymore. Robbers don’t hold people up, they knocked you down first and stripped everything you have.

I live here, use the Subway and Buses everyday and stopped wearing my Rolexes about a year ago.
The subway is a hole and is getting worse. A passenger was shot and killed at Canal St a few days ago ( on my regular route). Why tempt fate......

what happened saturday is really eye opening sadly. i refuse to ever take the subway unless it's during weekday rush hours now. when you think about it there's actually no security on the subways besides cameras, i don't know they let it get this far

I frequent the city every other month, and never had any issues in the past 8 years or Rolex ownership, bought most of them from an AD there

Was just there and felt fine wearing my GMT everywhere except the subway. Honestly, next time I'll just take my Apple watch.

I never understood why buy watches you won’t wear out? Where would you wear it then? At home?
