Only have one for now but want to add; if money and availability weren’t concerns I’d probably own 7-10 total.

Maybe an extra sub or GMT.
That’s ideal.

Always nice to have an Omega, an AP and a Patek.

But it’s hard to justify them. So I don’t bother and just enjoy them. They hold value pretty well over time; over the long haul. I don’t plan to “make money with them.” They are a hobby.

I trade a lot and it seems to hover around 8-10.

After that the rotation is hard to manage. I’m not rotating them now… but I enjoy collecting them.
Great collection. Aspire to own more along these lines esp pp and ap

One was all I ever wanted….. then I joined TRF….now I like too many. I don’t consider myself a collector but I decided long ago this is my money pit hobby, so I buy when ever I’m able.
That was easier to do before but with Rolex’s new sales strategy it’s a lot harder to buy anything.

1 each of the following models;
Daytona
Submariner
GMT Master
Sea-Dweller
Sky-Dweller
Datejust
Day-Date
Explorer

8 is the correct answer.

These must include the following;
Jubilee bracelet
Oyster bracelet
Oysterflex/Rubber B bracelet/strap
As wide a range of dial colours as possible
As wide a range of bezel colours and styles as possible
Precious Metals
Two tone models
Stainless steel

8 is the magic number...

Happy with 2, sub for daily and datejust for dress. Seiko for activities and places where you would be dumb to wear Rolex

Any more than 3 and I'd argue that its difficult to actually enjoy any of them.

Enjoy ent here is relative. Some people simply enjoy the watches by taking out of the box, looking it over, wearing at home and putting them back in the lock…

I’d say 6-8 Rolex is okay. Of course I’ll need a Speedy, Lange, AP, PP and Nomos too. I’m on 4 now (not counting my G Shocks, Frederic Constant et al) some ways to go. Hopefully picking up the speedy this summer

I'll stop if I ever get to 365. Maybe.

Every time I rotate a watch I think "realistically this is all I need". Then I put another one on and go through exactly the same thought process. So realistically, I need them all!
