Icon7 Hello from the USA! Excited to get a Rolex for my one-watch "collection"

Hello, all. I've been lurking these forums for the better part of the past month and I've decided to get a Rolex as my one and only watch.

I'll be visiting my local AD for the first time this Sunday to try on some watches. Currently, I'm eyeing the 31mm and 36mm Datejust and I'm excited to see which one fits best. My wrist is around 5.7 inches, so a lot of very cool watches are too big on me. Wondering if I can pull off a Daytona (I've been looking at some preowned ones online). Regardless, it's gotta be a Rolex.

Looking forward to being a new Rolex owner soon!

Welcome to the forum.

Can’t wait to see what you decide on. My wife has a similar size wrist and she went with a 34mm date. She also wears my Submariner

Welcome to TRF.

If you look at early Daytona’s like the 16520, you may find it fits better than the newer models.

Thank you all for the welcome! Happy to be here. Super excited to try the watches on. Might try on the bigger models too for the fun of it. :)

Thanks, guys! I went with a lovely Rolex Datejust 36. It looked too big on me at first but after comparing 31 and 36, I loved the 36 more.

But it will take a while until it arrives. I will post photos when it does!

36 has been a long time favorite size. It seems to fit "most everyone" nicely, from large to small arms. Good choice.

My first Rolex (still have it) was in 1987, a 36mm Oyster Perpetual Date. And still one of my favorites.
