At 49.3 , it will be comparable in size to a 44mm offshore. For big guys like me that is an appropriate size to have for a Nautilus. Im not too crazy about the laser etched 40 th in front though. Patek would serve it better palcinh it on the back with imprinted numerals.

I like it and, if offered one, would have to sell quite a bit to fund it! Like the larger size but not so keen on the date inscription.

It doesn't look like the 5990 case, it still has the left hinge visible in the photos. The article also says the launch is on Tuesday, so another day to wait! |

About the 40th. Maybe the bigger size if gonna interest some, not me, prefer Nautilus to Nautilus Offshore, looks huge compared to the AP on the pic, diamonds no, but the rest is cool if you like chronos, just smaller and no ice.
Wonder if they will make further Nautilus models in such huge sizes.. breaks up the proportion like the 15400 IMO. After looking at it, the worse for me is where the date is, but they put the 5980 movement in a bigger case, so it was pretty clear it would be like this. Maybe they didn't want riots over it and decided to make a watch many wouldn't want, had it been normal size, no ice and normal date there would have been demand |

After seeing the new cork box photos, this is either master level trolling by PP or the most cringe worthy limited editions ever created.

Ok so the second piece is the 5711P, actual owners will appreciate, with ice but with normal date, though it seems a little bigger as well.
So what are we hoping to get for the 50th? |

I think for the 40th they are nice pieces and what I expected, gladly not or me but what more did you guys want for a 40th? 50th is the big one..
I am sure the demand will far exceed the supply as usual with PP.. Attention will now turn to Basel 2017.. Roll on 2..!!!! |

IMG_1495.JPG IMG_1489.JPG IMG_1498.JPG Like this it's clearer, the date is awful on the 5976, the 5711P is better, wonder what size it is If they could put that kind of blue on the 5711/5712, amd that would be perfect |

If the 5711P is the normal size it will be nice unlike the larger size of the 5976G.. Really like that blue and the way 1976 40 2016 layout is on the 5711P..

Ok, not surebthebactual 5711P owners will be very happy, I would be pissed to be honest.
Anyone know how many 5711P will be made? I kinda like it, though couldn't wear a watch with diamond markers |

Only consolation is that PP did surprise me with LE and a PT, personally think diamonds are a girls best friend but each to their own

I don't like the the dated years on the dial.
I don't like the diamonds. I don't like the size. I'm happy to save my money for something else. But I would be even happier if I would own a 5711P non-anniversary model! This one is a whole different league... |

I don't like the latest trend at Patek. 10 years ago IMHO Patek properly celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus by delivering 3 distinct new models. None of them were limited editions, none of them were precious metal, and one of them even introduced a groundbreaking new complication. To me that's a proper anniversary. Now on the other hand, Patek brought out 2 models, both limited, both precious metal, none featuring a new complication in any ways. They don't even have a new dial layout or anything special or unique about them (IMHO). Am I the only one thinking Patek has been steered into the wrong direction with this anniversary?
