1st Patek

All,

I am looking to purchase my first Patek Phillppe. I am looking for something under 30k with a brown leather bracelet, rose gold and not too busy of a dial. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for all the help!

Was hoping for a something with a little more complication - watch doesn't have to be new.

The 5196r is the most beautiful watch I have ever seen. It's watch distilled to its purest form.

5205R? I bought the black dial variant and think it's worth every $.

Have you see the Calatrava line?

For complicated pieces, pre-owned Annual Calendar (5146 or 5396) or World Time (5130 or 5230) should be good options at the under $30K price range. If you don't want a "busy dial", the 5396 may fit your criteria.

I have a 5119j. Not complicated, but elegant.

Wow, thought this would be too complicated for me but I love it.

Thanks!

pre-owned 5127 in either c315 or c324 movement.
can be found well under 30k.
and, for me, a better size and case profile than the current gen 5227.

wouldn't mind having one myself, but i think I'm done with dress watches.

If you have a smaller wrist I would recommend a 3960

As OP doesn't like Calatrava, the logical choice would be 5146R or 5396R. Try looking around for used pieces at the 30k price range, not too sure what's the market price though.

5035 RG

36mm, wears a bit small yet was a daily beater for coding desk job-ish for years. Paid $13,500 when it came out, so by now they should still be reasonable. It is available in RG with black or silver-ish/white dial.
