Like everything in life, ask ten people, get ten different responses...
I have never used Michael Young myself...But I purchased a watch and was told that Michael Young had restored the bracelet...I was unimpressed...It was so tight as to be stiff and uncomfortable to wear to the extreme......

I was contemplating using MY for a daytona bracelet rebuild until I saw this thread. I know its a couple years old so I am wondering if anyone has used him recently...

Had mine done last year. Came back 4 weeks to the day and looked great! So many guys use him here, there are bound to be a few unsatisfied, can't say why, but you can't please everyone

I suspect that is done intentionally so the links can "wear in" for a better fit...

I had a similar issue with a custom crate engine I bought for one of my Mustangs. The builder came highly recommended by hundreds of people including multiple websites. That was all I needed to send him a deposit and get the ball rolling on what was supposed to be a 6-8 week turnaround. It took me 31 weeks to get my engine and delayed if any response to my calls and e-mails. Murphy's Law was definitely at work in my case as it seemed I was the only bad transaction to be found.

He ended up falling on health issues which in turn caused financial and time availability issues. He made good on everything through discounts, upgrades, and so on so in the end I was happy.

Where I explained to him that he went wrong was communication. I felt like I was being ripped off simply because I would hear nothing for weeks on end when promised updates. Life gets in the way of things sometimes even for the most reputable people. Just a little communication even if it is just to check in goes a long way between business and customer.
