The date thankfully still exists. Today is the 26 may. Its a Wednesday.

If you are talking about a Rolex watch the Datejust line will what you want to look at.

I think that this question is in reference to the 34mm Oyster Perpetual Date? Sadly, it is no more.

I've speculated elsewhere, but I am guessing that it had to do with fitting movements to cases. The new OP 34 uses the same movement as the OP 31 and 28. Presumably the one from the OP 36 didn't fit. That suggests that the movement from the 36mm DJ similarly wouldn't have fit the new OP 34 case. However, with a date model, movement diameter matters... While a no-date watch could use a movement of any size, a date one needs that part to line up to the date window.

Guessing Rolex didn't sell enough of them to justify an entirely new movement...

They removed it last month after the new releases.

I think the 34mm was under appreciated. Its could have been a great seller for females with small wrists.

If we're being facetious, then it was already Thursday 27 May for the OP when you posted.

No problem, and good luck. Not sure about finding one in Taiwan, but perhaps if you travel you may find one in the US (also had a forumer start a thread about finding one in the UK recently).

However, the current Datejust probably wears similarly (34mm OPD had chunkier case and probably wore closer to the new 36mm DJ). Finding a stainless one could be more of an issue, though.

Maybe buy a DJ 36 with smooth bezel.
