DD 18038/18238 size difference-shocked!

I had the bracelet off my Day Date 18038 and a friends 18238 last night for ultrasonic cleaning.
I have read the 18038 case was thicker but really was surprised just how much bigger it is.
The case is considerably thicker and gives more wrist presence when on the wrist and certainly makes it wear larger, the 18238 felt dainty in comparison.
When purchasing my 18038 I wasn’t aware of much difference between the two models other than single/double quickset.
I now would never consider changing for the slimmer 18238.
Hope this helps anyone looking to buy either watch, if you wear it daily like I do then the size/look is far more important to me than quickset of the day.

Thanks. I'll know to look for the smaller version.

You should check out the 1803. It’s even thicker and more hefty.

I did have an 1803 last year and find the 18038 a very similar size, probably why I was so shocked about the 18238.
Many obviously won’t agree but in my opinion it’s more feminine!

18038 is thicker by .3mm to .5mm and usually had thicker lugs than the 18238. 18038 also had steel case tube where 18238 had gold case tube.
