Howdy from Texas.

Here is the skinny.... Currently I own, a 16600 "P", a 116660 "V", and a 14060 "T" on NATO. Looking to feed my Sub fetish by purchasing a couple more Subs. The new SS Ceramic Sub will be a done deal when its finally available, though I have an itch which need scratching. Considering a 16610 LV, a 16660 SD, a 16610, or something vintage. I appreciate your thoughts.

You can't go wrong with the models you're considering... I'd say which one is singing to you the loudest?

Have owned a bazzilion (+ or - one or two)

Subs over the years, and one doesn't sing any louder than another.... they all blare sounds of "BUY ME NEXT"! Just looking to get going on my collection.

Lol Jim love it and I hear the same blaring sounds

....others say to get the LV. I'll go on a limb and agree... pricing is creeping up on 'em. I have had mine about a month and I have the black bezel insert which btw is still unopened in it's original packaging.

Of the choices, I would go with the SD. There are a lot less of them out there. Either way you can't go wrong.

IMO and this is only my opinion, your itch can be scratched only with vintage. Once you've gone vintage, it's hard to go back to anything else. I mean, just the simple thought that the watch you are wearing is from a time like mine, the mid to late 60s, a turbulent time indeed. I can't help but wonder where this watch was when famous events that shaped my nation's history were happening. It's wearable history and when I wear it I have a connection to it. This is something I just can not achieve wearing a new model Rolex. Here's another chance to show off my 1967 5513!

Nicko.... I feel/fear there will be vintages in my future, as I appreciate them in a big way.

As for now, I just committed to a LV "M" via "Justrolexes" Tony. First thing will be to replace the green bezel with a black one. (sorry if that offends anyone)

One target acquired... off to the next conquest, maybe a 16660, or kick ass plastic.

Looking for that "sleeper" sub, as I am sure most of you are on the hunt for.

Old watches just don't do anything for me. As for patina,,Ill pass,, I'd rather look at new blue lume !
