Joseph Simontacchi - nuttier than squirrel turd

Had a 'pleasure' of dealing with this potential buyer last night on my Daytona (ebay item 260353895385). After going back and forth we agreed on the price, he said he would wire funds on Monday. Of course, I mentioned that as long as the watch is still on ebay, it is a fair game - and typically I won't end the listing until payment is received (many tire-kickers on ebay who say they will 'take the watch', but never do - and since we list things with high visibility, ending the listing and starting it over again in case of non-sale could be expensive). Or - the buyer can just click 'buy it now' - this way the watch is off ebay and I have some (however, not much) recourse in case of non-payment. At least my fees would be refunded.

This guy did not do that - and as luck would have it, it sold on ebay this morning, with the buyer 'buying it now' and making immediate payment. Of course, I notified this Joseph character that the watch has been sold, and the barrage of verbal junk started. I won't get into details, but it was not pleasant, so in my humble opinion, this guy is better avoided, for all you Rolex sellers.

Congrats on the sale!

As you say, why not "buy it now"...it wasn't like it had an "immediate payment required"!

Good for you...

Thanks guys! I didn't think I did anything wrong, but buyers like that should be avoided. I looked at his feedback - he was left 4 positive feedback (by the way, his user ID is jfscpa911), but only left one feedback in return, a negative one. He is just a nasty guy all around.... Wouldn't want him owning a Daytona, would we? :)
