Anyone know the pricing off-hand for the new RM 029 LMC?

Also, does the launch of the LMC variant of the RM 029 imply that the regular RM 029 is still in production? I thought the RM 030 replaced it?

The RM029 is still available, they're just produced in much smaller quantities from what I understand. I believe the pricing is $105k for titanium, $135k for the rose gold, $160k for the white gold, and $176k for the LMC.

Ah, wonderful! Wow, talk about misinformation I've been previously given.

Thank you, again.

Any thoughts about 17-01ti? I would have a chance to buy it from a boutique as a new client. Is that typical that only more expensive pieces are available for first-timers?

It was a nice watch but just considering also the resale value of this tourbillon RM pieces.

I am sure you can ask for a package deal. Ask for an 11-03, 11-04, 35-02 or 67-02 to come with it.

Would you guys trade a 5711a, 5712a, and a Platona (lume dial) for a RM004 RG V2?

I would say keep your present pieces and forget about the RM. honestly lately I’ve also been keen on RM, particularly the 67-02 and 67-01 which the boutique has kindly offered to take my details for interest but I feel that RM is the brand that really worries me the most. Unlike Rolex, PP, AP and VC, RM has not much history or heritage to rely on with +/- 20 year history. And more importantly, I personally think the grey market prices is full of BS right now for RM and its being priced at unrealistic prices to keep the hype up. I don’t think the secondary market prices are sustainable and if I were to put my money on the first brand to lose its desirability and hype it would be RM. Considering the pieces you think of trading towards the RM, it’s better to keep them than trade.

Yeah, I'd absolutely do it. Three mass produced pieces versus one extraordinarily rare piece.

Been on the hunt FOREVER for a RG RM030 and finally picked up one yesterday from the RM Boutique brand new, absolutely love it on the white velcro. Definitely wears a bit chunkier than my old rm010 but I suspect I will get used to it in time.

Congrats! Absolutely love it, you need to hunt down a white crown guard to complete the look.

Thank you! Any idea where to get one or order from the boutique?

Also does anyone change their own straps and found a tool they can use without damaging the case that actually works? Would hate having to go back to the boutique every time for a strap change to match whatever mood I am in.

My boutique said any of those will void the warranty lol.

RM use to give out the tools for strap change but no more. And apparently the eBay ones arent the right mold

Thank you Ash, very much appreciated. It wears well from that photo but I do think it wears a tad too thick for my smaller wrists. I'm sure I will get use to it in time. Definitely pushing the boundaries of what my wrists can accommodate without the watch wearing me, definitely nothing thicker, maybe a rm72 would fit better but will have to wait until next year.

Don’t want to make this a “how to get a RM” discussion; but recently got into the brand and have settled on a RM030 as my potential entry into this wacky world. Based in HK, it seems buying any RM from the boutique is proving to be a challenge. Whilst the SA’s were extremely polite and informative, they informed me there were zero RMs that were available to buy (including round or women’s models, and obviously not the 030). Has that been the experience for many recently? Or perhaps RM is picking up even more steam in Asia?

Something unconventional and not for everyone. Looks the part with my smaller wrist. Congrats on the amazing 30 by the way!

From my experience personally (YMMV), it is somehow harder to start a relationship with boutique in Asian countries. I live in a major Asian country (so I am obviously considered local) but I do my watch shopping from boutique in the States. Bet you if I introduce someone and ask my boutique for a starter piece (028,023,etc) they will happily take down an order.

Fantastic piece, and the historical value of it to the brand makes it that much cooler. Really awesome acquisition!

I am finally in a place to afford an RM. I am based in California so was going to visit the Southern California boutique but curious is any particular US boutique is more open to first time buyers? Any advice is greatly appreciated
