Rose gold CHNR

My wonderful AD is offering me a rose gold CHNR. It was on my radar, just not on my immediate must buy list. What do you guys think? Seems like a hard to get piece?

Tried one on recently. Too pink for me. But it is a good investment.

Don’t know about the hard to get. Don’t know about investment value either. My AD has had one in the case for a while.

But it’s a beautiful watch.

Brown bezel is ugly and rose gold sports watches don’t make sense to me

If you want a gold tone PM sports get a TT Sub

Rose gold Daytona is the way to go for RG sports OR the RG Yachtmaster 116655

Buy it if you like it. I think it’s the most beautiful solid gold professional Rolex there is right now. I wouldn’t say it’s an investment and I’m sure one could be ordered without too much of a wait but it’s an admirable piece for any collection for sure.

Did the OP edit his post and remove talk of investment? Why is everyone getting on his case about it? This whole non sense goes both ways fellas. Yes, we're all sick of investment talk, so stop talking about it and answer the man's questions!

It's a beautiful watch! I'm personally not into colored gold watches of any variety, TT or otherwise. I personally prefer the WG BLRO.

That said, I've seen it in person, it's stunning and feels amazing on the wrist.

As far as the demand, I don't think it's a watch you'll see on the shelves regularly but I don't think it's "hard to get" either, in fact I think any AD would jump at the opportunity to sell you one and/or order you one. If you're in no rush I wouldn't feel any pressure to pull the trigger.

I love it but that’s a hell of a lot of polished real estate to scratch. That’s why I never pulled the trigger. DD hides it way better.

Not anymore than any other current vintage gmt. It’s not that bad honestly ... i wear my gmtIIc quite a bit and other than minor swirls, it looks great. I prefer the look of the brushed sub oyster myself but won’t be paying $2k for one anytime soon.

If someone is looking to buy one as a cherished timepiece to enjoy for its intended purpose and not as an investment then why worry about scratches...they are part of the story IMO.

To OP I say why not go for it as it’s a beautifully striking PM Rolex

It's an allocation piece now from what I was told. Not impossible to get but probably a 6 month wait if ordering.

I was almost certain it would be my next watch but the brown part of the bezel is holding me back. Finally saw one in person and it's a great looking watch.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't look at watches and cars as investments. It's a hobby and I account for it as such. What I was getting at was it's a watch I have interest in, but not necessarily on my immediate shopping list. My focus right now is on getting a PP Nautilus.

My AD happen to offer it up to me which got me thinking. This AD got me a blue Skydweller, SD43, and the SS BLRO all in the last year or so. I have a great relationship with them. I thought it was a nice gesture on their part to call me with it.
Will I regret passing it up later if it's a difficult piece to get? I was looking for opinions on that. Sorry if that wasn't made clear on my original post.

Not common, but not super difficult to find. It's a great looking watch and I think you should buy it if you're interested. Any discount?

No price discussions yet. Need to try it on first and see if I like it. I don't like to negotiate on something before mentally committing to buy. Just my little rule.

I went and tried it on yesterday. Beautiful watch, but decided it was easy too much gold. There is no way I would be able to keep that brecelet from being covered in scratches.

My AD had one a few weeks ago. Definitely a stunner! Not for me though. I seem to be moving towards WG now.

I love RG and looking forward to purchase a PM RG watch however this particular watch for me will depend on how it looks on YOU. The bezel is a bit different from me but none the less a beautiful watch. I say if it looks great on, BUY IT if your looking for a new sub!

Funny how people see things differently. I'm fairly fond of brown bezels. The watch is a stunner imho. For many, PM sport watches make a lot of sense as they have all the functionality of their SS siblings yet are a cut above!!!

As far as PM watches go, purchase them if you love them; otherwise leave them for those who do!!! Unless one gets a really deep discount they're harder to sell. There's also much less of a market.

Love my TT CHNR. It’s a stunning watch. And I’m not a TT guy usually.
