Congrats! I have the current model with the jubilee, but really wish I could have the oyster option. And yes, the LA watch scene for pieces in demand is ridiculous -- I went the Vegas route to get mine.

Jubilee is nice too. I can see Vegas having less people on "the list"... How often do you visit the AD? I go there once a few times a year for work so I might try this route.

"ADs here basically laughed at me and told me I need to spend a ton to be considered (one said over $100k)."

$100K?? Good grief, that´s obscene. What are these chaps smoking? Nobody should be playing/encouraging such odious nonsense, but that´s my own personal opinion. BTW, lovely watch, I like it...enjoy it!

I agree. Although, I guess at the end of the day ADs are a business and leveraging Rolex is great for non-Rolex sales (jewelry, other watches, etc.).

I visit twice a year on average, but also walk out with a new piece from Rolex or Patek, which probably helped my case...

Beautiful piece! I think its almost worth it to pay a reasonable premium and get it now vs paying way more than the premium for the "privilege" of buying at the AD.
