Anyone made it out to the Boston Newbury Botique yet?

Been meaning to make the trip over myself - I've seen some conflicting things about their stock which sounds too good to be true (it probably is).

I dropped by last weekend. Nice new location! They had a good selection in the showroom. In addition to DJs, etc., a few things they had out in the cases:
- Sea Dweller 43
- Submariner two-tone
- Daytona two-tone
- Air King
Had a good conversation with Brandy; a welcoming team there. Definitely worth a visit!

Could be wrong here, but in the US isn't there a rule that if its in the case it has to be for sale? Might be worth the trip in that case!

Was the SD43 two-tone? I was the two-tone one in the case but would be surprised if the they had the SS one in there as well.

Not sure about whether they were for sale and I didn't ask specifically (unfortunately I'm not in the market for a Daytona ;-) ).

That said, it was quite busy when I was there. The SA helping me mentioned that inventory changes quickly!

It was stainless. I actually got to try it on; it totally dwarfed the 36 mm Explorer had on that day!

I didn't ask if it was actually available for sale. It was too big of a watch for me, and I buy to wear. That said, the dimensions of the 41 mm Sub was excellent... super interested in that one in stainless.

Again, super nice team. I mean, didn't expect to see and try on two modern diver models in a drop-in visit.

Been in a few times. Anything in the case is definitely for sale and they have a very good inventory, but you will only see anything ‘interesting’ with a relationship. I’ve bought 2 there and one more on the way...worth a visit and striking up a conversation. It is a one on one type of deal....

And if there are empty display cases... no worries. Your Botox technician can't take away the stress -- but she can remove the stress lines on your forehead!

anyone try asking if they can bundle a PM piece with a ss daytona? Curious to know if the boutiques operate the same as the ADs.

I was there last Saturday morning. It was crowded, yet every sales advisor take their time with assigned customer(s). I think everyone was given a chance to tour the facility at the beginning of their visit, including a service center and a private showing room on the second floor, before sitting down and interviewed for their interest. The owner greeted everyone and offered beverages

The display was still full of datejusts last week, including several SS DJ41's for example SS DJ41 rhodium dial, smooth bezel, jubilee; but of course no SS sports. The only sports model left was two tone SD43. I heard that some were able to get SS sports earlier last week.

I hope the good vibes continues. Perhaps previous Long's customer may have an early advantage. They might also get more allocation of special pieces due to their boutique status, but time will tell.

BTW, Brandy and Michael are great to work with.

Went today; bought a silver dial OP41 which Mary is giving me for my birthday in June. Looked at DSSD but too large for me. Small wait to get in; really busy!

Full of DJs both in stainless and TT as well as a couple of YMs and a DSSD which was sold by the fellow who's watch I was holding in the photo which I added in my edit, No DDs, no PMs. Only OPs were in ladies sizes. A lot of oow an awwing over my Platona. The fellow (Jeff) who's watch I was holding in the photo offered to buy it off my wrist. The OP was in back and took a while for them to bring it out for me. You can see in the third and fourth photo a display full of watches.

Nice Lee! Unfortunately I’m too close to the boutique and am in more than I should be! I know every employee by name in your photos including my SA Angie...so far I’ve bought an OP for my wife, a GMT that she is gifting me and one more piece that’s on order for her....I really need to be done now!!

I’ve worked with Radwan through several watches. I know what you mean; I’m scared to go in. Each time it’s expensive.

That's the one!!! I wanted the more colorful but was happy with this one which I'll likely find more use for in the long run!!! I really love the double indices at 3, 6 and 9; perfect for night legibility!!!

I like the hat!

I always think of this classic Caddy Shack pro shop scene with Rodney Dangerfield and Ted Knight when talking Fedoras.

I know you worked with him when you traded a few pieces for that amazing Platona, which of course is pictured on the wall in the seating area. I’ll make a deal with you, next time we go in together and prevent each other’s CC from coming out-except of course...

Was going to go today but was busy, going tomorrow (hopefully).

Interesting to know if I walk in there and see someone theres a decent chance they are also a member of this forum. Is there a secret sign or handshake or something more tenured members know about?

Hmm, interesting idea! Once (if ever) things settle down, I wonder if they may be willing to do something for TRF/good clients upstairs?? I’ll discreetly inquire next time I’m in, which will probably be next week

Feel free to mention me as well. Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe a week night might work for them.
