White v Black Daytona
How much harder is it to get the White Daytona vs the Black? Trying to think of how to position this with my AD that I know decently well.
What is the likelihood that the Daytona is due for a change like 2the Sub, Explorer etc has gone through recently? |

The current white and black SS Daytonas have only been around for about five years...pure speculation, but I tend to think Rolex will wait at least another five.

Agree with the above. Most lines go for about a decade give or take — at least in the modern era.

I feel like there are more people on the white daytona list, thus making it more difficult. But in reality, both are really tough to come by.

I liked the black better, so that's what I went with. It just depends what kind of aesthetic you lean towards. White is clean and sporty, the black is cool and sexy.

This. I wanted and asked for black and waited 9 months at my AD. If I’d asked for white it would have been twice that long. My AD gets the same number of each but longer list for white.

Black all the way. It’s sleek and stealth.

I prefer the black and think it looks sexier.
But white has a bite more hype to it and harder to get. Either one would be a no brainer and both are extremely hard to get. |

In pictures the white, but on the wrist the black. I went with black, and it was my first choice, although I would’ve taken either. I’m glad I got the black.

Sorry didn’t answer the question, but they are equally as hard to get at retail.

I own both and in my opinion the black dial looks a lot better.
The white is harder to get and holds a better premium if that's important to you |

I'd go with whatever you can get your hands on tbh, especially if your AD can allocate one for you. If by some chance they have both on hand and you can choose, well then that's for you to decide. Buy what makes you happy!

Black is easier to get than white, but both will require substantial spend history/preferred customer status

The black is the nicest. One thing though I am trying to save up for one on the grey market but I can’t catch up with the constant increase on the grey market. When will we see the top reached. I can’t go more than it is now surely? If it goes past the £28k mark I am done trying.

I had both but sold the White and kept the Black because I much preferred it and because so many folk follow the hype around the White dial I was able to get a bigger premium on the resale.

Own both and to me the black one rocks! The white is sporty and fun but black is sexy and sleek.

I like both but when I had a choice, I stuck with the white. Would have saved a couple of months to go with black in 2017.
