Day Date or Daytona

Just curious which of these you guys and gals would chose. The 2 watches are the Rose Gold Day Date with the green dial or Rose Gold Daytona with the chocolate dial. Thanks

I'd go Daytona (subject to availability). The Day Date has never sung to me.

Daytona for me and I'm an old fart. I've owned two DD and neither stuck. I felt I should own one and it's not true.

such a personal call. get whichever sings to you most.

take it for what it's worth from a guy who would never buy either. but i prefer the DD vs. the daytona in this case. to my eye, daytona works best in SS or WG, and watches with brown hues just don't work for my tastes.

but only you know you.

I don't see the day date as a dress watch. I wear mine to the gym, at the beach, work, everywhere.

i prefer the look of the day date to the daytona in general, but on top of that, the rg olive dial is to me the best looking rolex in the lineup right now...so that's my answer lol

DD for me all day long. I have enough sports watches, and I just never was a fan of the Daytona. I have no need for a stopwatch and just always loved the majesty that is the DD40.....love that presidential bracelet!

I love the stainless Daytona, but man that olive dial and rose gold Day-Date is so cool ... it’s next level imo.

RG Olive dial is the most gorgeous Day-Date 40.

RG Daytona Chocolate dial is very good combination timepiece.

No wrong choices here, which one sing to you the most just take that one.

I always love green dial timepieces.

I have both green dial on Day-Date and Daytona, they are very gorgeous.

Both great watches seen both in the flesh, but for me the RG DD is amazing the president bracelet is the best Rolex do IMO, and the olive dial is absolutely gorgeous if you get a chance to see one you will know exactly what I mean

DD. I made a similar trade (SS Daytona and TT DJ for a WG DD) and couldn’t be happier.

Need to set aside the Daytona hype, always felt it was too small for me, and embrace the DD - the President bracelet is amazing!

I can't love the DD. I've tried it on, and it's simply not for me. I'm personally going for the RG Daytona choc dial OF too... but I'm also hankering for meteorite.. And can't tell if meteorite looks any good on anything other than white gold...

I have a DD40 and Daytona, although diff references than you're after. I do love them both, but if I had to choose one, it'd be the DD40.

In this case, DD. I'm a sucker for green dials and to me the Everose and olive really sing.

For me, the answer is always a Daytona. UNLESS, the Daytona is a chocolate dial. I personally do not like any chocolate dials.

In this case, it would be the rare exception where I pick a different model over the king of horology, the Daytona.

I would go Day Date personally, but that variant of Daytona is beautiful as well. Really can’t go wrong with either I think.

Daytonas do noting for me.

It's just my taste. And there's no accounting for taste.

The DD has always been THE Rolex after which I lust.
