I don't have a GO diver, but do have the GO perpetual calendar and love it. I love the big date, the fit and finish are excellent, and it's definitely not the same watch that is on anybody else's wrist anywhere I go.

Owned many Rolex sports models and a few GOs. Finish and execution on GO beats Rolex and is on par with JLC. Higher-end models are nicely finished. However, GO lacks Rolex marketing and prices reflect that--good for your wallet!

I own two GO'S. Here's my SeaQ and I also have a Senator Perpetual Calender.

The Seventies Panorama has been one that has tempted me. I’m pretty sure I’ll get one at some point.

This thread makes me wish I was a collector. These SeaQ's are stunning! A quick search and it appears they are less $ than a Submariner from a grey. I know what I would choose now.

Don't have a SeaQ but have a Senator Navigator- GOs are amazing value for the money, with great finishing that is superior to Rolex IMO.

I was deciding between the two sizes recently and ended up going with the larger pano date version and very glad I did. My wrist is 16-17cm and it works fine for me. I love the 39.5 as well but the 3:00 date isn't my favorite. The panodate on the larger is absolutely fantastic and you get the added see through caseback to see the beautiful movement and 100 hours power reserve on top. It's also giving my Spring Drive GS a run for it's money with accuracy so far. Just an amazing brand, haven't even commented on the PML which in my personal opinion is the best sub 10k watch on the planet.

Personally the SeaQ doesn't do it for me. Sure, it's very legible and seems well-made, but I'm not really a fan of the cartoonishly large numbers and the distortion when looking at it side-on from the curved crystal. Having traded my simple and reliable Seadweller 16600 to get my Daytona, if I was in the market for another diver I would go back to that one ahead of the SeaQ. Perhaps part of it is the lazy generalisation in the public mindset that that the likes of Rolex and Omega really do know what they are doing with robust tool watches - while nobody sees G.O.s on a diving trip and my only personal experience of handling G.O. is from the dressier, elegant pieces such as the PML. In reality, the SeaQ can probably handle all sorts of knocks and splashes, and most people are not actually using them to dive a few hundred metres. But certainly my advice would be try it on and let your heart tell you if you would prefer it to another Rolex or Seiko. |

I like the date a lot more and get the added benefit of the 100 hour power reserve and see through caseback. They're both awesome I may honestly add the 39.5 at some point in the future (or in a perfect world they combine the two and come out with a pano 41!).

ALS owner here. also love Glasshutte, but trying to downsize. I could see the Glasshutte being better made than Rolex, and the ALS without a doubt. but i love my rollies as well. |
