Not heard of a d blue seen in the wild for a while. Frustrating as I turned one down from an AD pre price rise as I wasn't in a position to pay it cash and needed interest free cresit

All still there today. Couple of Milgauss, SS YM2 and a Deepsea there as well.

Surprised the GMT is still there - they usually go pretty quickly.

Crouch in Swansea this morning.

Explorer 1(older model with short hands), Explorer II (white face), couple of Milgaus, older sea dweller and the new air king. Also a few black and white face DJIIs with plain and white gold bezels.

When you see a popular model in the window be wary that it hasn't been returned. I've had ADs tell me this is why they are in the window, as usually they have clients waiting.

Which Explorer? Depending on the reference, they are quite readily available.

Although I haven't seen one on display recently I don't think it would be too difficult to get.

Where about are you visiting...I'm sure members local to the area can check it out for you.

SS stock is scarce here but EXP1 shouldn't be too hard.
With a bit of effort you'll easily find one in an AD at RRP.

The short supply issue seems to be spreading to Singapore. When out wandering last week, we poked our noses into several ADs and we didn't see a single SS Sub, GMT or YM; there were no SD or DSSD, Explorers I or IIs either and no Milgauss. All we saw apart from DJs were a couple of TT Daytonas, a Leopard Daytona and a YG GMT.

As I have said before, I really don't think a price increase will help in the UK. The watches are not going to flow after imo

What are your reasons? You think Brexit means Brexit and we are now out of the loop?

There appears to be a dearth of Rolex in many countries at the moment, it's not just us. I don't think it's got anything to do with Brexit, but that is a factor with prices and our meagre stocks being ravaged by the foreign buyer.

iMO if there was a price rise, it won't mean that SS sports models will suddenly hit AD's windows. That's up to Rolex I'm afraid.

I thought after the 10% rise, stock would increase but it hasn't in over 9 months now so I don't think another 5% will make much difference. I feel there is something else going on, maybe production issues, as this scarcity has been spreading to other countries we are seeing.

I put my name down on all the south coast dealers for a D blue, after about ten weeks I was offered two, maybe just lucky I suppose.
I also know of a d blue in a trusted watch dealers in Bournemouth if any body interested.

Did you put your name down over the phone or in person? On the list at Fraser Hart in London but they tell me they get one every 7-8 months.

I did a bit of Burlington Arcade window shopping during the week and was quite surprised that even there stocks were really light. Only one LVc well above RRP, and not many other SS Sports even at their silly prices. Even the "wonderful" vintage shop had less stock than I've previously seen, no 1680 Reds but a fair collection of "rare" 1680 Whites with replacement hands and no bracelets for £11k.

I think most of the older UK SS sports models as well as the new stuff has been snapped up by buyers from abroad. I suspect the UK will have shortages even with a price increase for quite a while to come

We are very much of the same opinion then AK. Something isn't right and extra money won't solve it.

So easy for some and harder for others.

I was speaking to a local AD and he was saying they are having great sales. Their last month was very good in Rolex sales. People are buying and will continue to buy.
